  • Norman Pittorino, nicknamed Pit, was a dog trainer for the K-9 division of the Marine Corps. He had a fight with Ted Lemere regarding differences of philosophy in regards to dog training, which was later written up as a report for the both of them. However, despite these differences, he was the one who personally requested that Lemere and Dex be deployed to Afghanistan. He also had some businesses, and had his nephew, Marty Hagen conduct hard, back-breaking work bringing stuff in. He also had trouble from the bank due to late payments, which eventually resulted in him getting Dobermann Pinscers as attack dogs to sic on any visiting bankers to drive them off. Pittorino eventually became a suspect in Lemere's murder after foul play was suspected, in large part due to his fight with Lemere. He was eventually cleared as a suspect, although he was still put under surveillance for siccing Dobermann Pinscers on Special Agents McGee and DiNozzo, having earlier believed them to be members of the bank. He was eventually suspected of trying to rob Lemere's house of the pendant, due to the presence of Dobermann hairs on glove residue from the robber, although it was discovered that it was actually his nephew who was responsible, using Pittorino's business as a cover to launder items stolen from Afghanistan until they arrived state-side.
