| abstract | - T'Paal was a female Vulcan who lived in the 23rd century. She was the wife of Sessl and the mother of Valeris. Like the majority of her people, T'Paal was a pacifist, although not a traditionalist. She named her daughter after a female Klingon warrior. In the 2260s, T'Paal and her husband were members of the Vulcan Diplomatic Corps and were assigned to the planet Zorakis in the Boswellia sector. When it appeared the Federation and the Klingon Empire were heading to war, T'Paal and Sessl were determined they would try to prevent it. Several months before the Organians intervened and, acting not as Federation representatives, but as representatives of Vulcan, T'Paal and Sessl met with the Klingons.
