| abstract | - Bigmouth's cousin is a unnamed character in the Smurfs comic story "The Ogre And The Smurfs" in the comic book "The Strange Awakening of Lazy Smurf" (which does not appear in the original French version, but in the Papercutz reprint English version). He is Bigmouth's cousin and gourmet which have big appetite as he has eaten a calf and two pigs for breakfast. He also has great strength as he can pick up a tree himself. In the story, he captures Gargamel when Gargamel is trying to catch some Smurf. He is hungry and wants Gargamel for a dish. He prepares some firewood and tries to cook Gargamel. However, Gargamel tells him about Smurfs and tell him that Smurfs are delicious to eat. He unties Gargamel and Gargamel leads him the way to the Smurf village. A Smurf spots them and warn Papa Smurf. Meanwhile, they arrive at a bridge, Gargamel tries to walk pass it, but the bridge collapsed. To pass the river, Bigmouth's cousin hop over the river and continue the way. They arrives at a deep crevice, Bigmouth's cousin pulls down a tree and walk over the crevice. Gargamel is afraid since Bigmouth's cousin is rude to him and always using him as a scout. He tries to leave but he successes. Soon, they arrive at a pool of quicksand. Bigmouth's cousin throws Gargamel into the quicksand and hop on his head to jump over the quicksand. Gargamel finally escapes by the help of Azrael and runs back to his castle. Bigmouth's cousin finally arrives at the village. Every Smurf are running except for papa Smurf, who is holding a book. Bigmouth's cousin catches Papa, but papa tells him that Smurfs eat sarsaparilla as main food, which is a "poison" for ogres. He thinks that Gargamel is trying to cheat him. He runs to Gargamel's castle with the Smurfs and chases Gargamel away.
