  • Sachiko Yagami has prepared some fresh clothes for her husband, and Light Yagami offers to take them to his office at the NPA. While fetching his coat from his room, Light also takes a piece of the Death Note as a precaution. Another receptionist recognizes Light who once made insights that were useful in a previous criminal investigation. The receptionist even asks for his views on the Kira case and Light brags that if his guesses are correct then he has probably even outsmarted L. The young woman is surprised by this boast.
  • God, initially known to Sam and Dean as Chuck Shurley, is a powerful primordial being who created the universe and nearly everything it contains, including the human soul. The Darkness, his older sister, is the only entity surpassing his power, with the Horseman Death, prior to his demise, having been his equal.
  • *gheu(e)-, meaning "to call, invoke" is the root word of ‘God’, from which derives PIE *ghut- "that which is invoked" (source also of Old Church Slavonic zovo "to call," Sanskrit huta- "invoked," an epithet of Indra). God is the Queen of Heaven and the Father in Heaven, at least. One of the most contested ideas in the world is God. This or that, this and that, and neither this nor that is God. God is gods, counted and uncounted. The many and the one. Some people invoke Skynet as God, or God as Skynet. Or skooma. Others Jehova. See a list of Gods.
  • No matter what denomination of Judaism one ascribes to, the number one basic theological concept is the existence of one God. God is defined as omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.[Citation Needed] God is the creator of heaven and earth, the supreme judge[Citation Needed], and the one and only deity.
  • God is a being mentioned in some legends of Azeroth. In some beliefs he is said to have been creator of the universe, the Maker. (W3Man #?) His emissaries are said to be apostles and angels. (W1Man #?) God and "heavens" are implied to be at odds with demons, and according to certain sources, some believe "that the universe was created as a whole by a single all-powerful entity". God is able to see in an all encompassing fashion. He sees the world with extreme clarity, and only a fraction of the power would blind mere mortals. (W1Man #?)
  • Gods' in RuneScape are several important characters who play a role within the game at this time, the only true immortals featured in the game. Each god has his or her own unique beliefs, character, history, followers, and domain. There are or have been at least twenty gods in Gielinor in one time or another, although many of them are unknown. The gods of Gielinor are most notable for their participation in the God Wars of the Third Age, a major conflict that nearly destroyed the entire world, and their daily role in the Prayer skill, which enables them to transfer small portions of their power temporarily to their worshippers for a variety of potent effects. Ages past, during and prior to the time of the Third Age, the RuneScape deities were capable of interacting freely upon Gielinor, wh
  • A god is lawful, neutral, chaotic, or unaligned. In every NetHack game, the role of your adventurer determines the pantheon of gods that the game uses. Each role's pantheon contains one lawful, one neutral, and one chaotic god; your task is to retrieve the Amulet of Yendor for the god of your alignment. To ascend (win the game) you must sacrifice the amulet at your god's high altar. You can sometimes #pray to your god in times of need. An atheist character does not believe in gods, and thus tries to avoid actions directly involving religion.
  • The Metatron stated to Bethany Sloan, that " In the beginning, God was vengeful and hot tempered, and His wrath was bore by the Angel of Death known as Loki who was responsible for most of the Bibles famous stories such as the flood of Noah, and the Ten Plagues. Shortly after the Ten Plagues Loki's best friend, a Griggori angel (the Watchers) convinced Loki, during a post slaughter drink, to throw down his fiery sword and request a job that didn't involve slaughter, because Bartleby took pity upon humans. So, Loki being "very inebriated", throws down his fiery sword, tells God he quits and then "gives him the finger". God being enraged by this casts both Bartelby and Loki out of Heaven for all eternity to live in Wisconsin (a fate considered worse than Hell).
  • God is known as the omnipresent deity, Father of Jesus Christ and as the Creator of life, a central part of the basic tenants in the religion of Christianity. Although the basic concept of God exists in other monotheistic and polytheistic religions, it is the Christian God that serves as the basis for the Family Guy character. The appearance of the "God" character is the traditional depiction of the Abrahamic God in the Western world: a white-haired Caucasian man wearing a white robe.
  • The name God refers to the deity held by monotheists to be the supreme reality. God is generally regarded as the sole creator of the universe and is the central figure in Christianity, Judaism, and so forth. Agent Comer told Scully that the cult leader Josepho believed the craft he and his followers found in Alberta (or, rather the letters on it) to be the physical manifestation of God (TXF: "Providence") Mr. Burt was heavily implied to be God himself on Earth. (TXF: "Improbable")
  • A god is the title often given the highest ranking immortal on a MUD. Gods are often the senior administrators of the MUD, but sometimes the status has emeritus qualities, being filled by a semi-retired immortal. Gods are sometimes assisted by archwizards, who usually do the actual work, and wizards who may have rather low status, even being considered code slaves.

  • God is the twin brother of Satan and one of the many children of the Mother of Existence. He and Satan were both given the Earth to decorate to their wishes. As the result of a different point of view, God and Satan constantly bickered to a point where they declared war on one another. God became ruler of the Firmament, while Satan became master of the lowest depths of the Earth, namely Hell. In all his creations, God created something unique, creatures known as mankind, who would serve as his lapdogs. In death they are raised to join the armies of Heaven and Hell, as randomly selected puppets in a war that will reach its climax in armageddon. However, Satan gave humanity the gift of free will, which only increased their bickering hatred towards each other. The Mother, regarding her children as disappointments, stripped both God and Satan of their kingdoms and locked them away in a forgotten corner of the universe. However, despite their endless hatred, God and Satan still remain her children so she decided to give them a second chance. She brought back her children in the human bodies of Jake and Katie Fitzgerald in order to give them an appreciation for humanity and change their ways. This plan failed while the twins began to wreak further chaos on Earth. Knowing that Hell could break through the gates of Heaven at any moment, Zera went out to find God to return him to his throne. Once she found him, God regained his memories and returned to his rightful kingdom of Heaven, bolstering his armies for the final push towards Armageddon.

  • God is the Creator of everything, and more importantly, the Supreme Ruler and King of everyone. This article is a . You can help My English Wiki by expanding it.
  • God is an omnipotent being and is the father of Jesus. He first appeared in the Season Three episode, "Are You There God? It's Me, Jesus".
  • God is, according to many monotheistic religions, the Almighty Ruler and creator of the Universe. He resides in Heaven. His face is never shown on screen, except for a couple of occasions. See below for details.
  • God is the holy father of all existence! He brought the mortals into this world, and he could easily take them out! With his divine powers, he will smite all who sin against him!
  • God is the creator of the universe and father of Jesus Sandal. He is a recurring character in ParodySponge.
  • Gods were beings of immense power in the religions and mythologies of many species. The powers, abilities and appearances of the gods varied from culture to culture. Some considered transcendental beings gods, due to their power. The Tenth Doctor claimed that he didn't believe in any specific god, but had met a number of beings who claimed to be gods. (TV: The Satan Pit) The Second Doctor once offered a silent prayer to "the gods of his own people". (PROSE: The Murder Game)
  • God is a Being sensed by many people, and in numerous disparate religious settings. People report the following things about God: - God is always around. God is everywhere. God is in everything. - You can talk to God. God listens to prayers. God answers prayers. All sorts of things in the world can change in response to prayers. - God knows everything. - We have no way to measure God’s wisdom, other than to admit that God is smarter and wiser than we are. - God is a loving God. God is forgiving. - At times God wants you to do certain things. This can be called God’s work. - You are more likely to be able to sense God, to talk to God effectively, and to sense God’s Will when you’re in a meditative state. Not everyone senses God. Those that do have widely different ways of sensing God. Monotheism and Polytheism A number of religions around the world sense the existence of multiple gods. I’m not sure how this works for them so I can’t comment extensively. The Old Testament shows a wavering of the ancient Jews between monotheism and polytheism. People would go build their own gods out of wood or gold. The writers of the Old Testament took the position that these wooden or golden idols contained no particular power, and could be recycled safely. Certain Roman emperors set themselves up as gods. Every planet-god had his or her own month, so Julius Caesar grabbed July and Caesar Augustus appropriated August. The New Testament frowns on worshipping tyrants as gods. A somewhat active but archaic Friends tradition substitutes numeric month names, “first month”, ”second month”, … for traditional month names which refer to polytheistic gods and godlike roman emperors. Also, weekdays are referred to as “first day”, “second day”… Most Christian religions have developed a “Trinitarian” view, which says that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are all the same. Liberal and Conservative Friends don’t have a position on the Trinity. Evangelical Friends tend to side with the Protestants on the Trinity. That of God in everyone Quakers have a sense that an essence of God, a spark of God, is in every person. Friends may have gotten this sense because they meet in worship circles without a minister leading them, and everyone can speak. The idea of “that of God in everyone” led Friends to a number of conclusions: - The Friend on the bench next to you needs a livelihood as much as you do. Especially from 1650 through 1800, Friends were constantly setting each other up in businesses. - You can’t cheat other people. Friends were uniformly honest in doing business, when dealing with each other and with their non-Friend customers also. The general trustworthiness of Friends made them wildly successful in banking, in international trade, and in other fields. - There is that of God equally in women and in men. From the beginning of Quakerism, women and men had equal rights to be called to ministerial tasks. This was considered scandalous 350 years ago. Generations of Quaker women were in the forefront of the women’s rights movements in Britain and in the United States. - There is that of God equally in people of different skin colors. Wealthy Friends struggled among themselves especially between 1700 and 1800 to realize that they couldn’t hold black slaves. In the early 1800s Friends struggled among themselves between active abolitionism and quietism, a philosophy of non-interference in outside politics. - There is that of God in our enemies too. Friends couldn’t bring themselves to fight the English king's wars against the French, recognizing that the French worshipped the same God. Early on, Friends extended this philosophy to all wars. Friends were persecuted for generation after generation for their refusal to take sides in wars. - State-sanctioned executions of human beings are wrong. Occasional felons who eventually have a change of heart and turn other felons from their criminal ways are useful to society. We should find and strengthen that of God within such people. By the way, there is statistical evidence that our killing people teaches new people to solve their various problems by even more killing.
  • God is the spiritual deity once followed by Christians. The Pilgrims believed they had received direct connection to God through the stars. Many humans believe they became like gods or demons themselves. Others believed they were touched by God. Some pilots still pray to God when friends or loved ones are lost. The son of god is Jesus Christ but in modern times its used largely as a curse. The Roman Catholic and other Christian churches are a religion that believes in God. It is lead by the pope (who in recent centuries had become little more than a figurehead). Miguel Rodriguez is a Catholic, and knows the sign of the cross.
  • God is one, in all of us. Our souls are part of God. There is one and only true God, but is worshiped in many names and forms. Those who fear God will die fearing God; but those who love God, and have surrendered unto God, will find God. Those who have found God, see god in every entity, in every existence “ He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:17 God is not some external force, for "the Kingdom of God lies within".
  • Throughought history, there have been many religions with other Gods than the consciousness. Nami, Dori, and Kaname have been worshipped as Gods during the majority of time in the Rule of the Pondera. In the Rule of the Spirits, Gods were not as looked upon as the Spirit of Holy and Unholy Phantom were. Regardless, some still believed in a singular God that watched from above without interfering.
  • Gods (Goddesses when female), are extremely powerful, immortal beings that rule large portions of the Earth. Most gods are described as being part of a family or pantheon, and some of them rely on their mortal devotees for worship. Gods have an array of Powers and Abilities, typically related to a specific theme or aspect of mortal life, such as war, love, wisdom, or death. Only a small number of artifacts have the power to kill a god, such as The Chakram of Light, the Rib of Kronos, the Dagger of Helios and anything that has been coated in the blood of a Hind, for example the Hind's Blood Dagger. Gods of sufficient power are also capable of killing one another, though such action is usually prohibited within their various pantheons. Gods from different pantheons have differing abilities, power levels and behaviors. For example, Olympians are largely indestructible, while the Asgardians are more susceptible to death. Olympians generally control fundamental aspects of the world, such as love and death, while the Asgardian and Sumerian gods have more localized portfolios but can control worldly aspects equal to the Olympians. Hindu gods are greatly entwined in the spiritual lives of their worshippers, while the Olympians respond to prayers on a case by case basis. Most Pantheons are no longer worshipped by mortals after the Twilight of the Gods, but some of them are still worshipped in the present world by many people like in the case of the Hindu pantheon. The reason behind this could be that the Hindu gods are not as abusive and cruel to mortals like the Olympians were, but instead they are more spiritual in nature and also more compassionate.
Unless different terminology was chosen on most AberMUDs, the highest level in the game were the Gods (Goddesses, for female players) and was reserved for the MUD's administrators. This level has the highest privileges which including being able to retrieve items that had been sacrificed for points to the pit, moving players who were stuck, and even rebooting or shutting down the MUD.
  • God is a monotheistic deity in the world of Gloriana.
Together, God and The Darkness serve as the balance in the Universe, as the dark cannot exist without the light and vice versa. If either one of them is lost or destroyed, existence itself would cease to exist. His sister couldn't resist in destroying whatever he was setting out to create, so God created four archangels and, with them by his side, waged war against her and eventually locked her away with a mark which he entrusted to his most loved and valued angel, Lucifer. However, over time, after God created the Universe, the mark corrupted Lucifer and drew him to rebel when God created humankind. After Lucifer was bound in Hell and Gadreel was lock away in Heaven's Dungeon, God left Heaven and went into seclusion on Earth. After thousands of years, God eventually reappeared and partially aided in the Apocalypse. After the Apocalypse was averted, he disappeared again. Six years later, when his sister was released, God was originally willing to let his creations be wiped from existence and let Amara take over. But after being convinced by both Metatron and the Winchesters, God eventually decided to help stop Amara. After being fatally injured by his sister in a failed attempt to stop her, God was then healed by her and they both departed the Earth together.
  • A being of supreme power who is worshipped by mortals.
  • In religion, God is the powerful creator of all life in the universe, and also the universe itself, as well as all other universes. The words "gosh" and "golly" are often used to replace "God" when expressing a mild curse. The Hebrew name Jehoshaphat, means "Jehovah has judged." (Jehovah is the proper name of God) The son of God is Jesus Christ, whom he gave in behalf of humankind. On Krypton, in ancient times, it was believed that God was the sun-god Rao. Kryptonians worshiped him, and their sun was named after him. Rao however, is a separate divine entity, and not the true God. On Earth, in the days of ancient Israel, God made the nation his own. In the 20th century, the superhero known as Seraph was granted special super powers by God. The song "Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition" refers to God. When Marvin, Wendy, Wonder Dog and Lila Labonne were approached by Batman on a cable-car, the Caped Crusader's sudden appearance startled Lila, and she said "Mon Dieu!" (French for "My God!") When King Plasto is driving a FRERP G.R.E.P.S. truck, and finds out he is being pursued by the Batmobile, he utters the curse: "Odds Bodkins!", which means: "God's body." When Plasto learns that Wonder Woman and Mike Rosecope are attempting to develop a solvent for FRERP, he says: "Gadzooks!" Which means: "God's hooks." When King Plasto learned that Wonder Woman was successful at producing a FRERP solvent, he said "Zounds!", which means: "God's wounds." When Marvin, Wendy and Wonder Dog arrived at King Plasto's headquarters, he said "Gadzooks" once again. While chasing Marvin, Wendy and Wonder Dog in the FRERP Arena on his motorcycle, Plasto almost crashes into Frerpland City Hall, which emerged from one of the FRERP eggs that Wendy tossed at him. After seeing his own city hall blocking his path, he utters the phrase: "Odds bodkins!" once again. When Batman and Robin arrive at the FRERP Arena, Plasto says: "Gadzooks! It's the Dynamic Duo!" While in Washington, Wendy Harris suspected that the Raven might try and steal the United States Capitol. She then says: "Golly, I wonder what that would look like in orbit." When Superman learned that Ben Tennyson used to have Superman pajamas he said: "Oh my God! Did you hear that?! His pajamas look like my outfit!!"
  • The appearance of the "God" character is the traditional depiction of the Abrahamic God in the Western world: a white-haired Caucasian man wearing a white robe. God asks George Bush to downplay their relationship in the Pilot episode of American Dad. In "Roger Codger", Father Donovan has a swimsuit calendar of God. God appears to Steve in the form of Angelina Jolie in "Stan of Arabia: Part 2" because he chose the body most appealing to Steve. Avery Bullock gives Duper God's autograph from the stash of illegal CIA items in "I Can't Stan You". Stan sees God in his vision of Heaven with Brett Morris in "Dope & Faith". Stan tried to use a Heaven gun to force God to return him to his family in "The Most Adequate Christmas Ever". The swimsuit calendar of God from "Roger Codger" appears in Mr. McCreary's office in "The One That Got Away". God opens the gates to Heaven for Stan and Francine's fantasy in "Hot Water". Stan hallucinates God in "Daesong Heavy Industries" after losing his religion. As God points out that he is losing his brain cells, he forgets the word "zebra." In most episodes, God is voiced by Seth MacFarlane. In "Stan of Arabia: Part 2", God is voiced by Odile Corso.
  • God is also known as Kyle Katarn. He is the exact opposite of just a simple man trying to make his way in the universe. Kyle Katarn is able to make the universe through His mere presence within it.
  • God may refer to: * the one God Eru or Illuvatar * one of the angelic powers or "lesser deities", the Valar and Maiar * Various Spirits and Idols in the superstitious Religions of the lesser Men
  • God is the king of Heaven in the Spawn universe. One of the Mother of Existence's legion of children. He is the twin brother of Satan, creator of mankind, and king of Heaven.
  • Gods (神 Kami) are a species of magical deities in Earth Land.
God is often invoked like if he were someone with the power of analogous to a gamemaster in a role-playing game, or someone with the cheat codes to a video game. Some have faith in God's powers. Some people invoke Skynet as God, or God as Skynet. Or skooma. Others Jehova. See a list of Gods.
  • God is the Creator of the Universe and of humanity, the Alpha and the Omega. In the Abramic monotheistic traditions (which include Judaism, Christianity, and Islam), He is seen as the force of infinite power, knowledge, and benevolence in the universe, although among them, the Abramic religions do conceptualize God differently. Moreover, belief in a single deity may found in non-Abramic religions, including certain Hindu movements, Sikhism, and in the Baha-i faith.
  • A God, in the World of Baten Kaitos, seems to be any being with, or perceived as having, an immense, unrivaled power. At least two Gods are known to have battled in the War of The Gods, resulting in a devastated, polluted Earth, and a humanity's migration into the Sky.
  • God in the Left Behind books refers to Jehovah or Yahweh (the "I AM WHO I AM"), the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, whose only begotten Son Jesus Christ was sent to earth born as a man through the virgin woman Mary to die for the sins of mankind so that they could be forgiven and granted eternal life with Him in heaven. He is called "the one true God" in Scripture, full of goodness and mercy and love but also a holy and righteous God who must judge and punish people for their sin. His Son Jesus Christ is spoken of as "the Way, the Truth, and the Life", that no one comes to God the Father except through Jesus, and that salvation cannot be found in any other name under heaven. Those who refuse to accept Jesus as the prophesied Christ and that He came in the flesh are considered "antichrists". While He is considered the God of both Jews and Christians, the Jews generally do not use His name as they consider it too holy to even pronounce, while the Christians generally refer to Him as "the LORD".
The depiction of God on Family Guy is one of the most controversial components of the series. The show's depiction of God is primarily featured in episodes and/or gags satirical to religion, where He is often portrayed in a less-than-flattering if not outright negative, almost sacrilegious light. Some gags depict Him in Heaven, while others have Him appearing as a human being on Earth, interacting with its inhabitants. Many of the gags featuring God completely revise what has been established in Scripture. For example, in "Untitled Griffin Family History," God uses Chugs' cigarette lighter to "light a fart on fire," thereby setting in motion the universe's creation as depicted in the Big Bang theory. In "Fifteen Minutes of Shame", He nearly grants Meg's wish to have God "kill me now," only to have His sniper-style attempt interrupted by a phone call. Stewie explains to Brian that Jesus didn't really die on the cross in "Stewie, Chris & Brian's Excellent Adventure" as God discovers in a cutaway that it was really due to cocaine and trauma to the colon.
  • We all need a big reduction in the amount of tears. Cause all the people that You made in Your image, See them fighting in the street, Cause they can't make opinions meet, about God. -XTC, Dear God God might be the personification of the Symphony. Or its self-awareness. Or a nasty, self-righteous tyrant (this is Lilith's view). Or He might not actually exist, at least in the way most humans and angel's think he is (this is the infernal party line, as developed by Lucifer and, to a lesser extent, Baal). Or He might be a jumped-up Ethereal who managed to find a source of power so great that it allowed Him to re-write history (just guess who believes this). If you ask Khalid, there is no god but God, and Muhammad is His prophet, while Laurence firmly believes in the divinity of Jesus of Nazareth. Dominic might agree with Laurence, or he might simply view the Catholic Church as the best means of saving souls. And what does God Himself have to say? No one knows, except maybe Yves, and if Yves does know, he's not telling. Welcome to Canon Doubt and Uncertainty.
  • Gods are immortal supernatural beings that combine many skills and natural forces. They have the unique ability to exist in multiple locations at the same time. Gods are not subject to the will of a natural or personified external force, the latter constituting the distinction between them and demons. They protect Dragaera from the Jenoine and are their enemies.

  • Sachiko Yagami has prepared some fresh clothes for her husband, and Light Yagami offers to take them to his office at the NPA. While fetching his coat from his room, Light also takes a piece of the Death Note as a precaution. Accompanied by Ryuk, Light takes the clothes and travels by subway to the NPA HQ. Before entering the building, he tries to call his father on his cell phone but just gets the voice mail and assumes that Soichiro is in a meeting. At the front desk in the lobby, he sees a young woman arguing with a receptionist. The woman wants to talk to someone in the Japanese Task Force but the receptionist insists that none of them are in the building. Light is intrigued by this. Another receptionist recognizes Light who once made insights that were useful in a previous criminal investigation. The receptionist even asks for his views on the Kira case and Light brags that if his guesses are correct then he has probably even outsmarted L. The young woman is surprised by this boast. Leaving the clothes at the reception, Light tells the young woman that he is the son of the head of the Task Force and offers to pass on a message once his father starts answering his cell phone. He explains that there is a lot of tension within the Task Force due to the deaths of the FBI agents. He then flatters the woman by saying that she looks trustworthy and will even let her talk to his father by using his own cell phone. She is grateful for this and they sit down and wait. Light wonders if the woman actually knows something crucial about Kira. If she does then he has to find out what it is, but he is uneasy about all the security cameras in the lobby. After a while, Light strikes up a conversation by telling the woman that he suspects that Kira has some kind of supernatural power. She agrees and states that that is why she has come to see the Task Force. Light tells her that it is not safe to talk openly and that they should go outside. Walking outside the building, Light introduces himself and the woman tells him that her name is Maki Shoko. Ryuk chuckles. Light states that he believes that Kira can manipulate his victims. Maki concurs and says that she also believes that he can kill by means other than heart attacks. While appearing to be calm, Light is actually bothered by this. Most of Kira's criminal victims have died of heart attacks and even L and the police believe that this is the only way that he can kill from a distance. In fact Light can use the Death Note in order to make people die by either accident or disease. He has had people die by accident when he did not want them to be linked to the Kira killings – Kiichiro Osoreda the bus hijacker being a good example – and is anxious to keep it that way. He told Ryuk this when they first met. Maki also tells Light that her fiancé may have met Kira. She goes on to explain that he was one of the FBI agents who were killed by Kira and that he was involved in a bus hijacking. Light realizes that she is talking about Raye Penber. Opening up to Light, Maki further explains that Osoreda died when hit by a car the day after Matsushiro Nakaokaji was stabbed to death while robbing a store. Other minor criminals in the city have also been killed in the past few weeks and Maki believes that it was all part of an elaborate plan: Nakaokaji and Osoreda were used by Kira in order to obtain information that led to the deaths of the FBI agents – Penber having shown his FBI badge to a fellow passenger during the bus hijack. Light admits that her deductions are valid and could be a great help to the investigation even if they are not based on solid evidence. All that the police will have to do is find out who it was Penber showed his ID to. Secretly, Light is thankful that he met this woman before she actually talked to the police! Ryuk has made it clear that he is will not actually help Light in his plans but this chance meeting makes it look like another God of Death or Shinigami is on his side!
  • God is also the primordial divine figure and the only god in Christianity and in other monotheistic religions. God is also used as a synonym or substitute for deity. I am very sad. Please, end my suffering. Please God, free me of the pain you have forced upon me.
  • God (神 Kami?) is an immeasurably powerful being of ultimate goodness and infinite love that created the Digital World and its laws, and is possibly a human. It resides within the Digital World's central "Kernel", which is protected by the Celestial Digimon and the rest of the . The Celestial Digimon, Seraphimon, Cherubimon, and Ophanimon, were given the duty to execute God's enlightened laws, guard its wisdom, and impart its love and mercy, respectively. Airdramon is said to be close to God, and Angel Digimon are positioned near to it, with Seraphimon the closest of them all, but because of that extreme, they can easily fall into the opposite extreme of "Wickedness". In fact, Lucemon and Daemon (while still a Seraphimon) instigated a failed rebellion against God, alongside many other , and were deleted to the Dark Area as punishment. Bagramon, one of the Demon Lords who took part, rebelled in rejection of what it saw as the "Unreasonable Justice of the World" that God had constructed, and so had the right side of its body ripped away as punishment. Although Bagramon would be forgiven if it repented before God, it refused to submit, and instead seeks to replace God's justice with its own "New Justice", the purpose of which is to banish God. Although there are many , , , and -type Digimon, only the Four Holy Beasts, Yggdrasill, and the Homeostasis are ever identified as "God".
  • According to the former priest on The Island, the self-created omnipotent power known as God created the order of Greater Spirits and sent several of these beings to watcher over and protect the young Earth. One of these Watchers, the spirit Anum used God's own power, Vril, and created the Ogdru Jahad out of mud. The other Watchers put their seals on the Beast, but it did not come to life until nightfall, when darkness entered it. The Ogdru Jahad birthed the 369 Ogdru Hem which were the first creatures on Earth. After a brutal war between the Watchers and the Ogdru Hem, the monsters were destroyed and banished from the Earth. Anum then again used Vril to seal the Ogdru Jahad in a crystal prison and banish them to the far corners of the universe. The rest of the Watchers then turned on Anum, destroying his body except for his Right Hand. After seeing all of this God became furious and destroyed the Watchers. Some were cast down into Hell and others banished unto the Earth to breed monsters. After the fall of the Greater Spirits, many of the lesser spirits were allowed to assume form on the Earth.

  • God is the English name given to a singular being in theistic and deistic religions (and other belief systems) who is either the sole deity in monotheism, or a single deity in polytheism. God is most often conceived of as the supernatural creator and overseer of the universe. Theologians have ascribed a variety of attributes to the many different conceptions of God. The most common among these include omniscience (infinite knowledge), omnipotence (unlimited power), omnipresence (present everywhere), omnibenevolence (perfect goodness), divine simplicity, and eternal and necessary existence. God has also been conceived as being incorporeal (immaterial), a personal being, the source of all moral obligation, and the "greatest conceivable existent". These attributes were all supported to varying degrees by the early Jewish, Christian and Muslim theologian philosophers, including Maimonides, Augustine of Hippo, and Al-Ghazali, respectively. Many notable medieval philosophers and modern philosophers have developed arguments for and against the existence of God.

  • God (3000 B.C. - 1883 A.D.) is dead. He is the one who promises us heaven for being good to others, however, he never even mentioned exactly what to do there to stay entertained for infinity. Christians get a dedicated section of heaven full of an infinite number of nude 8 year old choir boys which usually keeps them going for 10,000 years or so.
  • Although His/Her benevolence and even existence is often questioned or even mocked by various characters, both are confirmed in The Crow: Wicked Prayer when Luc Crash becomes Lucifer's host body and proclaims that The Crow is in fact a kind of angel who's motive for vengeance is always love. Trivia: In mythology, the crow is a symbol of a guiding spirit or messenger of the gods and supreme gods, including in Christianity. Powers and Abilities: Omnipotence: Unlimited abilities, limitless usage of them. Omnibenevolence: All-loving and kind. Amortality: Never born, just existed. Never die. Not alive, nor dead. Not to be mistaken with 'immortality'. Not bound by time or physics (like a soul, or afterlife dimension). Never tire or weaken. Omnisexual: Not defined by any gender or sexuality, but usually refered to as a 'He'.
  • In Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe, particularly in Liu Kang's ending, there are shown few more deities alongside Raiden, Argus and Fujin including two goddesses - one goddess with a ninja mask and a goddess with an animal-like face. In MK:A, various endings state certain characters become gods upon defeating Blaze. (Sheeva becomes a goddess of destruction, Nitara became a blood goddess, Kira became a goddess of death in Kobra's ending, Sub-Zero becomes an ice god, and Sektor is transformed into a god without given an exact title although he is called "an abomination of flesh and technology", etc.). In his ending (arcade ladder), Steven becomes protector God of Edenia, taking Argus' place, while he becomes a better Elder God. Unlike the Elder Gods, regular Gods seem happy or feel needed to interfere in the planets' destinies regularly, considering the aforementioned positions and actions of the known Gods above. Being less powerful and faker rather than Elder Gods, normal gods have limitations. Gods are not allowed to participate in mortal affairs unless in mortal form. Thus, for a god to participate in Mortal Kombat, WWE, etc., they are required to occupy a human form. In addition, gods cannot interfere in the affairs of other planets as they not only hold any rule in a foreign domain, but they also risk losing any powers they had in their native planet, but they recover them by returning to it. According to Fujin's MK:A bio once again, Raiden, after he sacrificed himself in his mortal form in Outworld, his energies have dispersed and then reformed in Earth. His spirit has been reborn, having no memories of the past. He did then become a new god of thunder, neither good nor evil. It is unclear if the other gods can do this as well. There are also other gods mentioned in the Mortal Kombat comics, the featuring three gods are — Gait, the main God who created all other Gods and Elder Gods, Orak, the God of element Earth, and Zaggot, God of Outworld. Raiden was also depicted as having two female servants who were goddesses — he was also a sexist misogynist.

  • God was a deity in theistic, deistic, and other religious systems, representing either the sole deity in monotheism, or a principal deity in polytheism. In Tyrus and Ostrini, many individuals worshipped God, even in the Post E-Day Sera. He is believed to be seated in Heaven.
  • God is an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, omnibenevolent being featured in many Religions and spiritual groups as the loving, sole creator of all. (A god, as opposed to the God, is a similar creature, but as appose to being a sole, loving being, a god is a member of a group with varied select powers over nature or people in various mythologies). He/She is mentioned and referenced in the Riddick movies. In Pitch Black there was a discussion between Riddick and Imam Abu al-Walid about how Riddick chose to say: "I absolutely believe in God. And I absolutely hate the fucker!" in response to Imam's belief in God. Later on, when the group were in court in the rain and Riddick stated "Where the hell's your God now?!" This came full circle when Riddick chose to rescue the others, and Imam stated "There is my God, Mr. Riddick!" In The Chronicles of Riddick, there were references to religion and faith with the Necromongers, and the various religious groups on Helion Prime.

Ages past, during and prior to the time of the Third Age, the RuneScape deities were capable of interacting freely upon Gielinor, which caused such unimaginable chaos that Guthix set his Edicts to prevent the Gielinor gods from ever directly interfering in the world again, influencing events only through their remaining followers. The gods are incredibly powerful beings in the RuneScape game, the oldest and most potent among them far exceeding that of any other known class or race of beings, despite each one, even Guthix himself, having limits to each their own power. It is believed that the Stone of Jas combined with the Staff of Armadyl would grant a Mahjarrat sufficient power to become a deity himself.

  • A God is a supernatural, typically immortal being which is worshiped or respected by one or more group of believers. While the existence of one or more Gods remains subject of debate in the real world; Gods and God-like aliens have often being depicted as real entities in science fiction; whilst sometimes non-"supernatural" aliens will make use of superior technology to become worshiped as gods by more primitive cultures. It is also possible to equate the two situations using one of Arthur C. Clarke's laws that states that any sufficiently advanced technology is virtually indistinguishable from magic. The belief in pantheism consist of the idea that the Universe itself is God.
  • >Causer. Maker. Tinker. Meddler. Destroyer. From misopathy to philanthropy, this concept and its entailing dogma is the key contributor around which the GDC is centered for debate. Not beholden to brand, region, version, translation, nor context, it is the all-attributing attributelessness that makes this concept so enticing to be set as a placeholder for phenomena not yet (or already) explained. >Automaton. Benefactor. Saboteur. Provocateur. Voyeur. All of these words properly describe the concept of gods, but none of them describe the god of the person you are currently debating. Saying "aw, but I can explain all that with my god!" We know they can, we could explain it too; it is not difficult coming up with ex-post facto justifications when you have a poorly defined being that conceptually can fix any problem for you. Such is the pursuit of rational discourse. Getting your interlocutor to elucidate the characteristics of their god in a way that would progress the conversation forward makes you want to go back to debating the definition of the word "atheism." * >Cryptographer. Oracular. Indicter. Confuser. Prosecutor. The very grandiloquence required to write a wiki page about an all-powerful catch-all should be enough to turn you off to the concept. Though there are sincere and even perhaps rational believers, beware those that use this ill-defined construct as a crutch for their own ignorance. If their grand designer saw fit not to equip them with a cogent argument outside an appeal to the magical or mysterious, that's really not your problem. >Monger. Redeemer. Expropriator. Comforter. Torturer. With so much to say, perhaps we should leave the rest to the debates. Should there be rationale demonstrated or even (dare I say it?) evidence presented that indicates your version of your god concept positively exists in reality, please contact the James Randi Foundation and the Nobel Foundation for your money and prizes.

  • God is the sole creator and ruler of the Universe. Conceptions of God can vary widely among various religions, though the Bible has about the only definition that can be completely defended logically. (Not including certain liberalistic and/or allegorical interpretations.) Theologians and philosophers have studied countless conceptions of God since the dawn of civilization. The question of the existence of God classically falls under the branch of philosophy known as metaphysics, but is also one of the key discussions taking place within the field of the philosophy of religion.
  • Gods are a race of beings who are immensely powerful and mercurial. Gods sprung from the All-Mother Gaea reside on the High Plane although other, unrelated beings similar to gods reside in the Land of the Dead. The gods of the High Plane have fathered the Andain and have also affected the lives of many races and even caused entire events that have taken place through various Ages in the Land of the Living and other realms. Although gods can live forever, they can be killed even by mortals if they are fatally wounded in their corporeal form. Usually the gods only possess a mortal host, because the death of the host will not kill a god. Several gods are opposed to the Godslayer which has devoured their kin.
  • God has been scientifically proven to be a Tex Avery cartoon, or more accurately a cartoon creator. Hell, he is Tex Avery, and all we are are the wolves and cats getting hit with anvils and hammers while he and the audience laugh along. He was the inspiration for the Great Cornholio, in that he likes to get really messed up on sugar and speak nonsense while causing as much havoc as possible. That INRI dude

  • God is the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent and omnibenevolent being as defined by certain theistic and deistic religions (and other belief systems) who is most often conceived of as the supernatural creator and overseer of the universe. In many Muggle societies, God is usually a central figure in their religions. Many wizard, witches and Muggles often use terms such as thank God and oh my God to express excitement, shock, awe, dismay, or supplication; analogous to the wizard-used Merlin's beard. While many religions share the same basic conception of God, they may differ over the ideas of the dictates passed down by him and how one may best serve him. This can sometimes lead to conflicts, and the creation of organisations such as Al-Hiraza, which engage in actions designated as terrorism.
  • In Pagan circles, "God" usually refers to a male deity in the same way that "he" refers to a male in general. It is also used, albeit less frequently, to refer to a deity of any gender. Compare with Goddess. This article is a stub. You can help WikiPagan by [ expanding it].
  • The name God refers to the deity held by monotheists to be the supreme reality. God is generally regarded as the sole creator of the universe and is the central figure in Christianity, Judaism, and so forth. Agent Comer told Scully that the cult leader Josepho believed the craft he and his followers found in Alberta (or, rather the letters on it) to be the physical manifestation of God (TXF: "Providence") In 1993, Verla McLennen told FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully that - even though she had initially been upset by her husband's odd behavior - "when you're the wife of a test pilot, you thank God just to have him home alive." (TXF: "Deep Throat") Mr. Burt was heavily implied to be God himself on Earth. (TXF: "Improbable")

  • God , also known as The Creator, was an extremely powerful being. He was responsible for creating Adam and Castitas, the first man and woman on the Earth. They lived together for a time in a garden paradise, before Castitas was expelled and cursed to wander the desert forever. Despite this, when she came upon the city of Babel, she crafted sculptures in tribute to him. (Soul Symphony: "Exile" - "Epitaph of Sin")

  • On Bajor, the Prophets are worshiped as gods by the bulk of the populace. A smaller group worship the Pah-wraiths, the exiled enemies of the Prophets, as the true gods of Bajor. Others, especially some of those Bajorans born off-world during the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor, prefer only a secular, non-religious interpretation of the Prophets. (DS9: "Emissary", "Covenant", DS9 novels: Avatar, Milennium) There have been numerous religious beliefs in Human history that have worshiped either numerous gods (polytheism) or one single all-powerful God (monotheism). The Jem'Hadar and Vorta worshiped the Founders as gods due to genetic programming planted by the Founders themselves. (DS9: "Hippocratic Oath", "To the Death", "Tears of the Prophets") On several occasions the being known as Q has made appearances as "God". (TNG: "Tapestry") The Muslim name for God is "Allah" (Star Trek: Laughing Sawfish). The Hydran religion worshiped a large variety of gods. • God, also known as Yahweh and The Father, is omnipotent, benevolent, and creator of the universe. It is uncertain how this is, but the bible acknowledges this as fact. When found lowercase, god refers to one (or more, if plural) of many gods worshiped. Examples are Asherah, Baal, and Molech.

The unaligned god is always Moloch, who holds dominion over prayers and altars in Gehennom. Marduk is described in the introductory text as the Creator, from whom Moloch stole the Amulet of Yendor. Elbereth is the name of an elf-goddess that can be #engraved to frighten most monsters, but not humans or elves. An atheist character does not believe in gods, and thus tries to avoid actions directly involving religion. The pantheon for a priest(ess) is randomly selected from another single role; if a priest's lawful god is Blind Io, the neutral god is always going to be The Lady.

  • Just before Creation, on the night preceding October 23, 4004 B.C., God was sitting at a non-existent table playing a non-existent game of poker with several other non-existent deities. After losing a bundle in the Celestial Poker Game, Satan, aka the Devil aka Monty, bet God that He (God) couldn't gather more souls than he (Satan) could. God, being a notorious gambler, instantly took the bet, and the deal was done. According to an account by Archbishop James Ussher, 17th century Primate of All Ireland, this was widely thought to be a "sucker's bet" as there were no souls to be had. The best God could do would be a tie (0 souls to 0 souls), which by the nature of the bet would mean a loss for Him. But the inveterate gambler God went to work creating a universe in which said souls could exist and be gathered. In just six days, God created the heaven and the earth, sun and moon, stars, puppies, kittens, death cap mushrooms and fake dinosaur bones. On the seventh day, God rested in order to watch football as He had a tenner on the big game. Satan, on the other hand, got busy collecting souls. This is why Satan still leads the bet to this day, and why sports teams never pray to him. It's also why Godly people never capitalize his pronouns.
  • God is something often left undefined or poorly defined. Who is God? The Christian idea of God resulted when a whole load of mythology from the Egyptians, the Greeks and Romans, the Jews and many others got mixed together. Jesus is God's son, no he isn't, he's God, unseparated from the Father. Are you confused? See Trinity to try and sort it out.

  • God is the supreme being of a number of human religions, including Catholicism, Orthodoxy, Judaism, Protestantism, and Islam.
  • A God (神, Kami) is a powerful being that is are capable of great feats. This can be loosely applied to those who are immensely skilled, such as Mifune who is consider a "God of the Sword" due to his mastery of swordsmanship and Black☆Star, who is called a Warrior God due to being a strong follower of the Path of the Warrior as well as a capable combatant. However, in addition to that, True Gods (真の神, Shin no kami) exist. Only the Gods of Death are considered actual true gods and, in power, are far above the likes of other races in the world.
  • God is the singular omnipotent being of the Judeo-Christian faiths and regarded by such as the highest power beyond the universe. When the Destiny expedition found the planet Eden, Dr. Robert Caine believed it had been created by God for them to find. Among the personifications of Him is Jesus Christ His human male form and Son by Christian traditions. When Lt. Matthew Scott asked Dr. Nicholas Rush about the Cosmic microwave background radiation he replied (rather sarcastically) that the CMBR could very well be a message from God, the The Almighty creator of the universe. • Klingon mythology holds that the Klingon gods were killed millennia ago when the Klingon people turned against them. (DS9 episodes: "Homefront", "You Are Cordially Invited", VOY episode: "Barge of the Dead") One of the Klingon goddesses was Tuq'mor. (DS9 - Day of Honor novel: Armageddon Sky) In the mirror universe, the Vorta and the Jem'Hadar likewise worshiped the Founders as gods. (ST - Mirror Universe novel: Rise Like Lions) Q once portrayed himself as God to Jean-Luc Picard during a critical heart failure. (TNG episode: "Tapestry") In the TNG novel: Q-Zone, a superbeing much like Q was featured, called The One. When Q asked 0 who "The One" was, 0 said "...he invented monotheism." Thus, the One claims to be the God in three of Earth's biggest religions; however, there is no evidence for the truth of this, as The One could claim to be any entity it wishes.
  • God, sometimes known as Lucius Fox, was the creator of all. He has run earth like an expert store clerk since the beginning of time. In all this time, however, life has become dull for Him. So, He continually does things to stir up the pot. His main identity is that of Lucius Fox, the tailor and weapons dealer to the Caped Crusader. He made the Bateman's arsenal with disguised holy items, and came out with some of the finest items of all time. And somewhere along the way, He manages too still rule all universes. He also created the League of Assassins, a group of assasins lead by God under the name Sloan. From Gotham City to the elite assassins of Japan, over the universe to New York City and at your local Arbees, God is on the streets ready to mess with your life. But firstly and foremost, He has to do the one thing that completes His life: help the Batman.
  • God was a deity recognized by some Humans. He or she (if in fact having a gender) was omniscient and possibly omnipotent. Princess Leia Organa would use swear words including the term "Lord", which was a title of deity (possibly that God). The Maker for droids is a type of God or deity that they believe created intelligent creations out of simple machines or was the first Droid. Some of the known deities included the Yuuzhan Vong gods and the Keshiri gods, called the Skyborn. The Zakuul natives also worshiped a pantheon of gods known as the Old Gods. The so-called Old Ways were generally discarded after the rise of the Eternal Empire. "God" was also a generalized term for any sort of deity. When C-3PO was captured by Ewoks along with Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Luke Skywalker and R2-D2, he expressed that he believed that they considered him to be "some sort of god."
When we first see God in Dogma, He is in the form of an old man at a board walk in New Jersey. The Stygian Triplet demons attack him and put Him into a coma. Through out the movie there are several talks about the "real" God and the nature of God. It was stated by the Metatron to Bethany that a loophole in catholic dogma would allow them to re-enter Heaven, which would prove God wrong. This would result in everything God ever created to be blinked out of existence. At first Bethany refuses due to blaming God for her infertility, but changes her mind after two prophets, Jay and Silent Bob rescue her form the Triplets. God was also lonely but funny, having a great sense of humour (which would explain the Platypus), seeing sex as a joke due to the faces and noises people make in mid coitus. This also got referred to by the Muse, Serendipity who said God had a quirky sense of humour because of her using inspiration on others but not herself. Rufus, the thirteenth apostle of Christ, stated that God hated Christianity being referred to as mythology, and its better to idealise than believe. Despite what people believe, God is in fact a She as oppose to a He (even though Rufus described her as "not really a woman. She's not really anything", to which Bethany replied "She's something alright"). This was never said before because of all the pen-holders of the Bible being white males, which would also explain the ethnic changes done to Jesus Christ and leaving Rufus out "because you still got 12 other white-boys to choose from". God also loves all unconditionally and infinitely, despite race and religion. The Muse said that all religions were self righteous against each other, especially against women, and it didn't matter what you have have in, just that you have faith and to celebrate it, not to mourn it. But despite all of this our hearts are in the right places. It was later on revealed that Bethany was the last living relative to Jesus Christ, which is why the angels contacted her when God went missing. Metatron told Bethany that God is a Skee Ball fanatic, and comes to Earth to play in human form once a month, and that someone must have "incapacitate Him in another fashion" instead of kill. During the final battle, Bethany realizes that the old man from the start is in the hospital next to the church and she must unplug him. But in doing so, she is inadvertently killed due to this being an act of a martyr. God instantly explodes out and into the church and walks out with the Metatron to greet Bartleby. She forgives him after her sobbingly repents realizing what he'd done. She kills him with Her voice and sends him to Heaven. After this She cleans away to the dead from the street and brings Bethany back to life and makes her pregnant. After playing amongst the flowers Bethany thanks Her, and asks "why are we here" to which God simply poked her nose and squeaked. The Metatron pointed out her sense of humour again before they along with Rufus and the Muse leave for Heaven, with Bethany, Jay and Silent Bob reflecting on their adventure. God is seen as a beautiful young woman, who has a playful, childlike manner, and is infinitely loving and patient. She never speaks, (being ironic due to the singer Alanis Morrisette playing her, as well as music being loved and associated with God often, as well as Kevin Smith once stating that no one could take as much crap as a Canadian) but can influence amazingly when she makes simple eye contact and physical contact and seems to communicate as such.
(W1Man #?) God was said to have been revered by the Clerics of Northshire. (W1Man #?) During the Second War, churches sang hymns to "Give thanks unto God."[citation needed] The Knight of the Silver Hand called Duncan Senturus believed in a higher power that could choose paths for people, and believed evil actions were ungodly. ...clearly it was chosen by a higher power that your paths would lead you to us. (DotD 44) However, the existence of this God is not believed by most of the Church of the Holy Light. To most current members the Holy Light is not a passive belief in God or gods but rather an active philosophy, bringing good into the world through the Three Virtues. Most members do not predicate their beliefs on the worship any gods. (WoWRPG 168)
  • God is the term used by monotheistic religions to denominate the creator of all things and ruler of the universe. The Authority has proclaimed himself as God and is worshipped as such by many. However, it is unknown if the Authority was both a fraud and an impostor.
  • In the beginning, there were only two gods. Rythar, Goddess of Order, took the 'threads of power' and weaved them together, forming the fabric of space-time. Mythar, God of Chaos, took this fabric and tore them asunder. The remains are then gathered back by Rythar and the cycle begins again. Eventually however some threads were unseen by Rythar and fell not to be rewoven, forming the race that would come to be known as the Valheru. The two Blind Gods of the Beginning were deposed when the universe reordered itself. Without Rythar to knit together the strings of power, they became the new order of gods, a hundred in total. There were the seven Greater Gods and the other 93 are Lesser Gods. Ishap is the most important of the Greater Gods being the one who created all of the lesser Gods and Goddess, being the Balancer. Slightly less in power and authority are Arch-Indar, Goddess of Good, and Nalar, God of Evil. The other four Greater Gods are called the Builders, comprising of the four traits within all mortal races. During the Chaos Wars, when the Valheru rose up to challenge the new order of gods, the gods were unprepared while they still contended against each other for control of various domains. As a result, most of the gods were slain, including Ishap, Arch-Indar, Wodar-Hospur, and many others. The remaining gods worked in concert, and cast the Valheru into another dimension, but the damage was done. Without the Goddess of Good to offset the God of Evil, and without the Balancer to balance all actions, the four Builder Gods exiled the God of Evil to a distant universe. Nalar is to remain imprisoned until the continual worship from the mortal races could revive the 'dead' Ishap and Arch-Indar. Many important Lesser Gods also perished, with great consequences. Tith and Onanka combined their essences to form a new being, the two faced god of war. Killian, Goddess of Nature, took over the domain of Eortis, God of the Sea. Sarig, God of Magic, sought to return by appointing an avatar to work for the betterment of magic, to eventually ascend as the new god of magic. Nakor the Isalini also theorized that the universe itself is another, ultimate god, having become reality as mortals perceive it in an attempt to understand itself.
  • God is a deity who is said to have created the world. His existence is a matter of ongoing debate; it is passionately asserted by untold millions, vigorously denied by millions more. As well as having allegedly created the earth and the heavens, the birds and beasts of the earth, the fish of the sea, and having dominion over the winds and waves, God is sometimes credited with influencing the results of football matches. Religious players will acknowledge God’s help by namechecking him in interviews, looking up and pointing to Heaven after a goal, or leading the Tottenham fans in a half-time rendition of At The Name Of Jesus (Every Knee Shall Bow).
  • God is the mysterious sun goddess worshipped among many members of the Order and has played a significantly antagonistic role throughout the Silent Hill series. She is often represented as an orange-haired woman draped in red robes. Despite the fact that this could be a possible reference to Christianity, or general religious institutions (She is often given titles of reverence to apply as such "God" and "Lord"), She is not the deity of any real-world religions. The goals of many of the series' antagonists revolve around initiating Her rebirth, hoping to bring about the Apocalypse, and through the destruction of humanity, a promised Paradise. She is the central deity of the Holy Woman sect.

  • Humans in Bersia worship God. Ecclesians are very devout worshipers of God and try to abide by the rules of their religion. Their culture is built around their religion and it plays a very important role in their lives. Their religious leader not only serves as the head of The Church but he also serves as The Patriarch. The Hironeidens however are less devout in religion and are more open minded. For example, while the Ecclesians hate dwarves and elves for their religious differences, the Hironeidens are accepting of dwarves and elves and their beliefs. Hironeidens however still follow the Ecclesian religion but some have openly question God's existence or a need for a Patriarch. General Hugh once proclaims before a battle "If there truly is a God, then today, he is on our side!" This suggests that he is a theist but later, he lectures Gerald by saying, "We are all pawns of God in this battle and you'll do well to remember that!" Ecclesians fight for their Faith and put God above all. Many of the Hironeidens dislike the Ecclesians for this reason because they sometimes get too obsessed with fulfilling the commands and duties of their religion that they forget about their allies. This nearly lead to the fall of Hironeiden when the Ecclesians were trying to reclaim the Holy Land and didn't care about Hironiden being under siege by The Dark Legion. This led Hironiden to seek help from the dwarves and elves. Naturally, the Ecclesians were shocked to learn that elves and dwarves were now allies with Hironiden. Nevertheless, the Ecclesians accepted the alliance that Hironiden had made with the elves and dwarves and fought besides them when reclaiming The Holy Land. Elves and Dwarves are hated by the Ecclesians because of different religious beliefs. It's not implied what the differences are however. Information on the KUF2 site suggests that the Ecclesian's hatred for other races is due to their belief that the human race must maintain its purity. The site states that the Ecclesian's adopted this belief after their first war with Dark Elves. By this information, we can see that The Ecclesian religion probably didn't talk about excluding other races. Some soldiers in the tavern of Jungsburg during Walter's campaign (in Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes) are unsure whether the Church is doing what is right. These soldiers imply that all races (including Dark Elves, Orcs and Ogres) should be able to become part of the Ecclesian religion if they accept it. They later attack The Church - in their dialogue - for deciding who can be converted and who can't. It's very likely that God is Nibel. They share similarities with one another. For example, The Book of Ecclesia states that God destroyed Killiani when he tried to raise the altar of destruction. When Kendal joins forces with Regnier to stop Encablossa, Regnier states that Nibel destroyed Killiani (though he wasn't attacking the Ecclesian religion) which seems to suggest that Nibel is simply the name of God. It's also likely that Amos is God and Nibel too. For - just like God - Amos' story also shares many similarities with Nibel. According to the history, Amos was awakened - along with Tobied (possibly Encablossa) - from the demise of the previous gods (who likely represented light and darkness too and maybe they were the original nible and encablossa) and then made an oath with Tobied that none would invade the others territory . This seems similar to the pact made by Nibel and Encablossa. This quote from Kingdom Under Fire's history (from the Crusader's official site) seems to imply that Amos is God: Based on the evidence, it seems that Nibel, Amos and God are the same deity. The Ecclesian religion has many parallels with Christianity. For example, both have the crucifix as the symbol of their religion. Also, Ecclesia (in Greek) means Christian Church. It's strongly implied that God lends his followers aid. For example, devout knights (paladins) are able to cast Holy Magic which heals friendly troops and damages the undead. It seems that there are atheists in the KUF universe (Sir Duane being the example here) but there is never an implication as to what their view about Holy Magic is. It's possible that they just view it as healing magic. It's also possible that no atheists exist in the KUF universe but that there are those who deny the Ecclesian religion (Once again, Sir Duane being the example here. Duane once attacked the Ecclesian religion by calling it naive beliefs.) However once again, it's not known what the stance for anti-ecclesians or atheists is for evil spirits and devils. According to the official KUF2 site, after Encablossa's defeat (end of the Great Diastrophism), demons and evil spirits started appearing all over Bersia and Ecclesia has sent inquisitors to deal with them. Notable Devout Ecclesian followers include: Kendal. Walter. Thomas.
  • Unlike most media portrayed renditions of God, this version of God is a man with a muscular build, dark grey long hair, and a beard. He has many tattoos on him, like rings on his upper arms and two traditional Polynesian tattoos on both hips. The only pieces of clothing seen on him are white jandels and a purple lavalava (a traditional Samoan sheet of fabric men there use, that is tied around the waist like a skirt, similar to a sarong), decorated with a pattern of orange flowers. This design is used to match Bro'Town's Polynesian theme of culture.
  • The term God usually applies to a number of extremely powerful supernatural beings in the Dresden Universe.
  • In general, God is the single all-powerful entity of the monotheistic Abrahamic religions, the creator of all that is and is solely responsible for all creation - past, present and future. In Judaism, He is known as YHWH, but usually referred to as HaShem ("the Name") or Adonai ("Master" or "Lord"). Most Christians simply refer to Him as "God" or "Lord," or many variations of this, and some Christian religions refer to Him as Jehovah. In Islam, He is called Allah ("the God"), although He has 99 names, all referring to a specific aspect of the one God. The One God is always to be capitalized when speaking or writing, including He, Him or His. Generally, God is said to reside in Heaven. According to Judeo-Christian mythology, He is the creator of Earth and mankind, the first two humans being Adam and Eve. The principal enemy of God is Satan, a rebellious angel cast from Heaven who resides in Hell.
  • A single god mustn't have the whole authority in this democratic world. There are three most important gods for the earth.
  • [Source] God is an important person in Joseph: King of Dreams and The Prince of Egypt. He is the Divine Spirit and Supreme Being responsible for the Creation of the Universe and all sentient beings that dwell from either of the three worlds: Earth, Hell or Heaven. He is the almighty God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the patriarchs of the Hebrew people.
