Secret Service Agent Caitlin Todd assigned Captain Pritchard to protect the President of the United States while she and NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs searched for the terrorist, Leonard Rish who had been tasked with assassinating the President. Pritchard succeeded in stopping the terrorist from passing him, giving Gibbs enough time to arrive on the scene and attempt Rish to surrender so that he could be arrested but Rish instead raised his weapon towards Gibbs and fired a fully-automatic burst, many missing Gibbs but Gibbs just fired one shot, killing Rish.
