  • Daniel Edmond Locke is a U.S. Army special operator in an elite unit of ultra top-secret intelligence gatherers. Danny was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia. Right out of high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. After completing basic combat training and then infantry advanced individual training at the U.S. Army Infantry School at Fort Benning, Danny stayed at Fort Benning and went on to the U.S. Army Airborne School. Upon completing airborne training and earning the Basic Parachutist Badge, he was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg as an airborne infantryman in the 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment. Danny later attended the U.S. Army Ranger School, earning the Ranger Tab. A little while after becoming a fire team leader, he went through Ranger indoctrination training and was then assigned to the 1st Ranger Battalion. Soon afterwards, Danny earned the Air Assault Badge at the U.S. Army Assault School. He eventually rose to the position of a squad leader. Shortly after attending the Reconnaissance Surveillance Leaders Course, Danny applied to join the Regimental Reconnaissance Company. Upon passing the selection course and completing the operator training course, he was assigned to Regimental Reconnaissance Company Team 1. Danny was elevated to the position of assistant team sergeant a little while after being promoted to Sergeant First Class. Shortly after he attended the U.S. Army Pathfinder School, his extraordinary record in both special reconnaissance operations and direct action assault raids caught the attention of several officials in the Joint Special Operations Command. Danny was invited to apply to join the Intelligence Support Activity (ISA). Specifically, he was invited into the Direct Action Quick Response Division, which is a specialized detachment within the ISA. Also known as Gray Fox or Centra Spike, the ISA is an elite and ultra-clandestine U.S. Army special operations unit responsible for collecting actionable intelligence in advance of missions by other U.S. special operations forces, especially counterterrorist operations. The teams of the Direct Action Quick Response Division focus on more selective, secretive and high-stakes operations than the rest of the Intelligence Support Activity. The division is mobile, and it answers to The White House alone. The teams in the Direct Action Quick Response Division handle operations in two categories: cleaning and fixing botched operations, and precision intelligence-oriented special operations. Danny accepted the offer and applied to join the Intelligence Support Activity. After completing the selection and training process, he was promoted to Master Sergeant and assigned to the Direct Action Quick Response Division. Danny rose from the position of assistant team leader to the position of team leader. He leads Team Omaha, the Direct Action Quick Response Division's field operations contingent. In that capacity, Danny is involved in such 'hot' engagements as snatch and grab jobs, targeted killings, and battlefield preparations.
