  • Discordia is the state of chaos and anarchy that would be caused by the collapse of the Dark Tower. It is the Crimson King's goal to bring about Discordia. The Crimson King believed that not only would he survive the collapse of the Dark Tower, but he could also rule over the resulting chaos and re-fashion the universe to his liking. Because of the King's madness, it is not clear if this is true. The phrase, "O Discordia", is often used when a terrible event occurs and someone is afraid of its consequences.

  • According to the scripture of the Priesthood, during the Ancient Era long before Dragonhollow was created, all of time and space was encompassed in a plane of existence known as Discordia, a turbulent place constantly shifting and changing based on the whims of its shaper Eris. Entire worlds came into being and blinked out of being in an instant. Nothing was static. Eventually, her search for perfection crystallized in her crowning achievement, the priceless jewel of her universe, Dragonhollow. It is unclear what happened to Discordia after that point. Some have suggested that the realm was the total absence of order and that Eris' creation of the known universe brought it to its natural end. Others believe that this does not adequately explain the existence of many other worlds in the universe. Some scholars suggested that Discordia was simply one of many dimensions that made up the entirety of the universe, one controlled solely by Eris. The Cult of Benly has its own interpretation. They claim that what was once a harmonious realm was twisted and corrupted by the trickster Eris into a place of death and discord for the sole purpose of amusing her dark sense of humor. Fearing that the pure pandemonium of Discordia would spread across the stars, Ymir led the other deities against Eris, imprisoning her within Pandora's Box and remaking Discordia into the structured universe as it is known today.

  • Discordia is a musician who has been working on the ultimate song that would win him the heart of everyone who heard it. One day, he was approached by a member of the 13 Lords of Chaos, Kimberly Freeman who hypnotized Discordia and made him attack Mythsong. His attack on his own home in Mythsong made everyone think that he was the 6th Lord of Chaos. He is trying to stop Mythsong Canyon's annual music festival combined with a battle of the bands known as Lorestockapalooza. According to Don Giovanni, Discordia is capable of using his compositions to win not just the hearts and minds of everyone, but control them as well - all that on his own controller Kimberly's commands. He already controlled the Bruise Brothers Jake and Elwood into commandeering Mozzy Mogbourne's Lead Zeppelin, and controlled the Great Godfather of Souls into setting up Lord Ovthedance by claiming that he cheats in dance contests. His henchman is Faust, a Chaorrupted demon from the Underworld who tricked Don Giovanni into signing his contract. The story in Don Giovanni's mind suggested that Discordia was approached by Drakath, who offered him a powerful shortcut to which he accepted, although in fact that story would later be proven to be false when Kimberly's true colors were later revealed. Discordia later had an army of music-controlled Music Pirates and Flying Music Pirates commandeer the Lead Zeppelin in preperation for him awakening Mythsong Canyon's Beast of Chaos located beneath where Lorestockapalooza is going to be held. The players fail to stop the Music Pirates. Upon the arrival of Kimberly Freeman of One-Eyed Doll, the players fight their way through Discordia's house in order to get to Discordia. Upon defeating Discordia, it turns out that Kimberly is the true 6th Lord of Chaos and had set up Discordia. Following the defeat of Kimberly Freeman, Discordia's current status is unknown.

  • Discordia is the Latin name of Eris, who is revered as The Goddess in a little-known but far-reaching religion called Discordianism. To quote The Other Wiki, it is "a religion centered around the idea that chaos is all there is and that order and disorder are both ideas imposed upon chaos." Which tells you what it is - in the same way that saying Christians worship Jesus tells you what's going on there. Founded 1958-59 by Malaclypse the Younger, the principle text is the Principia Discordia. Considered by some to be a parody religion, and called "Zen for roundeyes" by others, Discordianism recognizes chaos, disorder, and dissent as being both valid and even desirable (in contrast to most other religions, which idealize order and harmony). The matron deity is Eris, Greek goddess of chaos - also known as Discordia to the Romans. Because Discordianism embraces disorder and chaos, it's difficult to estimate how many followers it has or to correctly identify groups who align themselves with it. The Principia's encouragement to schism and form cabals - combined with the fact that many adherents do not hold Discordianism as their only (or even primary) faith - further complicates things; most adherents use Discordianism as a complement to their primary religion and may not identify themselves as Discordian in public (or on the census!). One of Discordianism's primary tenets - certainly one of the most memorable - is to take nothing seriously while regarding everything as Serious Business. To follow only half of the tenet is to fail yourself; if you only take nothing seriously, you will miss out on things - but if you take everything seriously, you become a Greyface (and will also probably die young, due to heart failure or an aneurysm). The second most memorable tenet is that "every single man, woman and child on this Earth" is a Discordian pope. While the Principia has an official Pope card, it does not grant Papacy; it only acts as a means of proof. Papal powers are not listed in the Principia, beyond a note on the card saying "A POPE is someone who is not under the authority of the authorities". Some have taken it upon themselves to elaborate further, listing on the back of their cards that their Papal rights include (but are not limited to): * * To invoke infallability at any time (including retroactively); * To completely rework the Erisian church; * To baptise, bury, and marry (with the permission of the deceased, in the latter two cases); * To excommunicate, de-ex-communicate, re-ex-communicate, and de-re-ex-communicate (no backsies!) both his-/her-/it-/their-/your-/our-/His-/Her-/It-/Them-/Your-/Our-self/selves and others (if any). * To perform all rites and functions deemed inappropriate for a Pope of Discordia. One of the few things that Discordians are prohibited from doing is consuming a hot dog bun (due to Eris' joyous partaking of a hot dog after The Original Snub). On the other hand, one of the few things that Discordians are required to do is "Go Off Alone & Partake Joyously of a Hot Dog [in a hot dog bun] on a Friday". A copy of the Principia Discordia can be found online here: * The Illuminatus Trilogy * The musical output of The KLF * The Doctor Who Fan Fiction Kallisti is set on an entire planet of Discordians.
