rdfs:comment
  • The Rolls-Royce Phantom III was the final large pre-war Rolls-Royce. Introduced in 1936, it replaced the Phantom II and it was the only V12 Rolls-Royce until the 1998 introduction of the Silver Seraph. A 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III featured prominently in EON Productions' 1964 James Bond film Goldfinger. In the film, bullion dealer Auric Goldfinger uses the vehicle to smuggle gold out of Britain. Notably, in the 1959 novel on which the film is based, Goldfinger instead uses a Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost for the task.
