  • A King of D'ni.
  • "Absolute Justice is here!"- Gan's introductory catchphrase Gan is a Hikaribito and one of the 5 main heroes of Shougeki Gouraigan
  • Gan is the creative overforce in the cosmology of Stephen King's universes. King's inspiration for the word remains unknown, but he may have taken it from a Hebrew word, which means, simply, "garden." Gan's role in the novels is very much in line with the concept of God or the Wandjinah.
  • Gan was one of Daolon Wong's original Dark Chi Warriors. He wielded a sanjiegun, a staff that could split into three chain-linked portions (a three-section staff), which appears with a pouring-in effect. After Gan was sealed in the Urn of Wei Cheing, Wong replaced him by turning Chow into a new Dark Chi Warrior in his place. Chow also retained his signature glasses.
  • Gan was a Bajoran and a Sergeant in the Bajoran Militia in the 2370s. Gan serves on Deep Space 9. In 2376, Ezri Dax was giving orders to Sergeant Gan when Kira Nerys appeared in Ops, having travelled through an Iconian Gateway. Gan was surprised to see Kira. (DS9 short story: "Horn and Ivory")
  • The native Humans (likely not literal Humans, but nearly indistinguishable from them) of Amtor, they have black hair, dark brown eyes, and dark skin. They do not grow facial hair. They are the most diverse group of people on the planet, with many individual cultures. Also important to note that individuals of this race exist in both the northern and southern hemispheres, unaware of each other's existence.
  • Tier: Likely 1-A Name: Gan Gender: Male Age: Unknown Classification: Deity Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Reality Manipulation, Omniscience, Omnipresence Attack Potency: Likely Outerverse level (The Black Tower that is merely Gan's physical manifestation, was implied to have infinite steps, each one an infinite number of times greater than the last, and Gan likely transcends it.) Lifting Strength: Likely Irrelevant Striking Strength: Likely Outerversal Durability: Likely Outerverse level Stamina: Unlimited Range: Likely Outerversal Standard Equipment: None Weaknesses: None
  • Gan is the godlike figure that arose from the waters of the Prim who spun the physical universe from his navel and is the spirit of the Dark Tower. Others say Gan rose from the Prim and Mid-World emerged from him breaking apart into many parallel worlds. After the Prim receded the Beams and the Dark Tower remained forming the framework of the time/space continuum. His wife Bessa invented riddling to entertain him and it is said he placed Buffalo Star in the sky. It is thought by some that the tower itself could be the embodiment of Gan as the Sisters from Our Lady Of The Rose believe.

Lifting Strength: Likely Irrelevant Striking Strength: Likely Outerversal Durability: Likely Outerverse level Stamina: Unlimited Range: Likely Outerversal Standard Equipment: None Weaknesses: None Note: Gan is Stephen King's version of the Christian God. Note 2: Quote showing the size of the Dark Tower "If you fell outward to the limit of the universe, would you find a board fence and signs reading DEAD END? No. You might find something hard and rounded, as the chick must see the egg from the inside. And if you should peck through the shell (or find a door), what great and torrential light might shine through your opening at the end of space? Might you look through and discover our entire universe is but part of one atom on a blade of grass? Might you be forced to think that by burning a twig you incinerate an eternity of eternities? That existence rises not to one infinite but to an infinity of them? "Perhaps you saw what place our universe plays in the scheme of things - as no more than an atom in a blade of grass. Could it be that everything we can perceive, from the microscopic virus to the distant Horsehead Nebula, is contained in one blade of grass that may have existed for only a single season in an alien time-flow? What if that blade should be cut off by a scythe? When it begins to die, would the rot seep into our universe and our own lives, turning everthing yellow and brown and desiccated? Perhaps it's already begun to happen. We say the world has moved on; maybe we really mean that it has begun to dry up. "Think how small such a concept of things make us, gunslinger! If a God watches over it all, does He actually mete out justice for such a race of gnats? Does His eye see the sparrow fall when the sparrow is less than a speck of hydrogen floating disconnected in the depth of space? And if He does see... what must the nature of such a God be? Where does He live? How is it possible to live beyond infinity? "Imagine the sand of the Mohaine Desert, which you crossed to find me, and imagine a trillion universes - not worlds by universes - encapsulated in each grain of that desert; and within each universe an infinity of others. We tower over these universes from our pitiful grass vantage point; with one swing of your boot you may knock a billion billion worlds flying off into darkness, a chain never to be completed. "Size, gunslinger... size. "Yet suppose further. Suppose that all worlds, all universes, met at a single nexus, a single pylon, a Tower. And within it, a stairway, perhaps rising to the Godhead itself. Would you dare climb to the top, gunslinger? Could it be that somewhere above all of endless reality, there exists a room?...

It is thought by some that the tower itself could be the embodiment of Gan as the Sisters from Our Lady Of The Rose believe. When Roland and Eddie cross paths with "Stephen King" in Song Of Susannah, they theorize that he may be Gan himself, or an avatar of him, or at least strongly influenced by him, and thus place the protection of the writer as the second most important task entrusted to the Tet Corporation (after the protection of the Rose).
