| abstract | - Gaafi (Oracle Code U4-M3418) was a Special Operations Unggoy who fought in the Human-Covenant War from 2540 to 2552. Under the direct jurisdiction of the Covenant High Council, his role was in the infiltration and covert operations preceding direct invasion of a Human settlement. As such, his independence as an Unggoy was greater than most, and he led his own Special Operations squad nicknamed “The Brown Bellies.” Gaafi had been raised on Decided Heart, but sold from Balaho at the age of two, before he had been old enough to remember any of it. He was trained in police work, and worked in putting down rebellions with the Sangheili before being drafted into the Covenant infantry. Gaafi took part in many battles, including the attacks at Miridem, Skopje , and Paris IV, eventually becoming part of the Putum clan. He was recommended to the High Council during their pilgramage to High Charity, and thus was granted a position in the Covenant Special Operations.
