  • Kamae was the Rokugani word for stance or posture. In some contexts in could also mean school. For instance if two samurai were facing eachother in combat one could call out "Show me your Kamae". They would both entered their stances, and any perceptive samurai would be able to gauge which school their opponent studied at from the stance.
