Serves 36 Prep time: 20 min Cook time: 25 min Total time: 45 min Calories: 278.00 Calories from Fat: N/A Total Fat: 8.90 g Saturated Fat: N/A Cholesterol: N/A Sodium: N/A Total Carbohydrate: 48.20 g Dietary Fiber: N/A Sugars: N/A Protein: 2.50 g Vitamin A: N/A Vitamin C: N/A Ingredients 1 c butter, softened 3 1/3 c white sugar 1/2 c each honey; dark corn syrup 2 eggs 1/2 c milk 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder 1/8 tsp of each spice ground cloves; ground allspice; ground cinnamon; ground nutmeg 1 tsp salt 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 5 c all-purpose flour 1 16 oz container cream cheese frosting; 1/2 c pecan halves opt Directions 1. Preheat the oven to 350 F (175 C). Grease two 9x13 pans. 2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Stir in the honey and corn syrup, then beat in the eggs one at a time until the batter is light and fluffy. Stir in milk and vanilla. Combine the cocoa, cloves, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, baking powder and flour; stir into the honey mixture until fully incorporated. Batter will be thick. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans, and spread flat. 3. Bake for 20 to 25 min in the preheated oven. Do not over bake, or the cakes will not be chewy. Cut into squares while still warm, remove from the pan, and let cool. Frost with cream cheese frosting, and garnish each piece with a pecan half.
