Biography
  • Ron Thiel, Jr. is a former NASCAR driver from Stony Brook, NY. He competed in four Busch Series events in his career. Thiel's debut came in 1995, when he competed at Nazareth. Starting 38th in the field of forty-two, Thiel completed all but three laps in route to a solid 13th place finish that would prove to be his career best. In addition in 1995, Thiel also competed at the inaugural event at Homestead-Miami, where he crashed late and finished 29th. Thiel did not fare well, however, in his pair of 1996 races. Thiel returned to Nazareth early in the year and again appeared well on his way to a decent finish until an engine failure with just three laps to go ended his day with a 23rd place finish. He then rounded his career out with a 34th place run at the Milwaukee, again succumbing to an engine issue. External Links *Stats
