rdfs:comment
  • Warning: Due to the nature of Tears of Guthix rewarding experience in your lowest skill, it is advised that combat and skill pures do not play this minigame. To play the minigame, a player must go to the Lumbridge Swamp Caves and tell a story to the snake Juna who is the guardian of the Guthix tears. Then, collect the blue tears flowing from a wall, while avoiding collecting the green tears, as these decrease your overall tear count. The locations of the tears changes randomly. Both hands must be free in order to hold the bowl (no weapon or shield).

Tip: Stay only at one wall. You'll want to minimize your time walking. Even if there are no blue streams flowing at your wall and the wall next to you has 2-3 blue streams, often times it still works out better if you stay at your spot because of the erratic nature of the streams. For all you know, at your wall a blue stream might reoccur just as you go to leave for the other wall, and the wall you're going to that had all blue streams, may disappear. You usually never have to wait long for another blue stream to reappear at your wall, so don't walk in between walls, and especially not the one opposite to you — it's usually lost time. Both hands must be free in order to hold the bowl (no weapon or shield). The game relies heavily on your Quest Points. The more Quest points you have the longer you can collect tears and therefore the more experience you get. Juna will not let a player in if it has been less than 1 week since the last time. However, entrance may be gained if a player tries within 1 hour before the 1 week time limit (167 hours instead of 168 hours). Use the Quest Journal of the interface and select Tears of Guthix to find out how many days and how many quest points or experience points are needed before being allowed to collect tears. By talking to Juna, it is possible to toggle alerts upon logging in whenever you are eligible to play this minigame again.
