Before becoming the Headless Horseman, she was a school teacher frustrated by the rampant crime in the Wild West and decided to do something about it. Thus, she made a particularly tall and broad shirt and put herself inside it. She could see through the gap in the shirt but, it appeared to everyone else that the rider was headless.

  • Miss Betty was a woman in late-1800s Colorado who disguised herself as a headless ghostly cowboy. With her horse, Black Beauty, she fought crime in the Wild West. In her second published adventure, she dealt with Alex Trush, owner of the Bar-X Ranch, and his gang, creating a fake Headless Horseman straw dummy to frame the hero for their crimes. However, the real Headless Horseman successfully trapped the wanted men for the Sheriff; to whom they confessed their crimes once they are caught.
