| abstract | - Jacob was a male member of the Ophuchi Clan tasked with guarding the entryway to the Ophuchi Sanctuary in the Dune Sea on Tatooine. Born in 51 BBY, Jacob found out that he was destined to be a guard for the compound, a time-consuming position that prevented him from marrying and having a family. He regretted that he was unable to find the time to have a family, though he was content in his job. In 22 BBY, Jacob was standing guard outside the Ophuchi Sanctuary when Sarus, the Ophuchi leader, brought a group of outsiders, including Annikin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, to the compound. The next day, Jacob was murdered by Lilith, one of the Guardians of Lettow serving Dark Jedi Master Maul. They were then able to gain entry into the sanctuary, sparking an attack on the compound that left a number of Ophuchi dead.
