Eventually though, Molly calls Shane during a blackout and asks her to come over. Soon after she arrives, Molly and Shane sleep together, with Phyllis eventually walking in on them. Phyllis lectures Molly on Shane's lack of education, but Molly doesn't seem to care, although she acknowledges Shane as "uneducated". Shane overhears this and ignores Molly. Molly follows Shane and the girls to the Pink Ride and stalks Shane until she gives in and lets her talk to her. During the Pink Ride, Molly and Shane grow closer and when arriving back in LA, they seem to have formed a genuine fondness for each other. Molly seems to really care for shane, but Shane is afraid of what Phylis told her at a party, about hurting her daughter and not being worthy of her. So Shane hits on another girl in front of Molly and the relationship is on hold for now.
