- Georges Jeanty is the artist for Dark Horse Comics' new comic book series, Serenity: Leaves on the Wind. He has previously worked on the "season eight and nine" comic books of Buffy the Vampire Slayer for Dark Horse Comics. Jeanty said that working on Serenity is a different challenge than Buffy in that when Buffy transitioned from TV show to comic book, everything had been destroyed and he could start from scratch. Serenity is a direct continuation of the movie, so the details in the artwork have to match.

- Georges Jeanty is the main artist for Buffy:The Vampire Slayer Season Eight Vol 1. Jeanty was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was raised near the sunny beaches of Miami, Florida, and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. After majoring in the Fine Arts, at Miami-Dade University, he considered a career in acting, but decided to use his artistic talent to pursue a career as a commercial artist. Jeanty's first break into comics was Paradigm #1 (1994) published by Caliber Comics. Soon after, he worked on the bad girl books for London Night Studios. This led to his work with other underground comic book publishers, as well as being a member of Gaijin Studios. After breaking in at DC Comics on titles like Green Lantern, Superboy and Superman, Marvel Comics offered him a new title they were starting up - Bishop: The Last X-man. His early Marvel work also included the Gambit limited series, a few Deadpool issues, and the Weapon X monthly series. In 2006, Wildstorm Comics paired Georges with Hollywood screenwriter John Ridley, for The American Way, a controversial comic book mini-series set in the turbulent '60s, that received tremendous underground and internet buzz. Later, Joss Whedon hand-picked him to be the regular artist of the highly anticipated Buffy: The Vampire Slayer Season 8 comic book series published by Dark Horse. He has been the main artist since the first issue.
