| abstract | - Solis was the squad leader of one of his homeworld's defense squadrons. The Sulon Government choose a representative from each of their squadrons to do their part for the war effort. Because of his excellent simulation record, Solis was chosen from his squadron, largely against his will. When Solis was posted at a New Republic base on Tatooine he was troubled by a spice addiction thanks to the mysterious woman known as Deirdre Malice. Eventually he fought his addiction, which almost cost him his career, but he never truly got over the effects right away. He met and fell in love with a young girl by the name of Naedya Artaris. Things went smoothly with them for a while and they were having a child together. Unfortunately Naedya started to act strangely and she discovered she was in fact a Nightsister with memory loss. She embraced her true identity almost right away but Solis couldn't handle the change. This coupled with the loss of his unborn daughter caused him to suffer psychological stress from which once again shed a negative light on his performance in the cockpit. After an honorable discharge from the Republic, his one-time partner, who now called herself Deianeira, discovered Solis’ force sensitivity. She tried for a time to seduce him to the dark side, but thanks to the intervention of NRI agent Sabal Naerth Solis was introduced to Jedi Master Rihani Ambrai. Ambrai managed to convince Solis to attend the Academy on Yavin where he trained as Rihani's padawan. Now a fully trained Jedi Knight, Solis never managed to emerge from beneath his former Master's shadow. Although more then competent in combat with a Lightsaber, Solis' true gift is in the cockpit of a starfighter or small freighter.
