rdfs:comment | - Therapist is a reputation in Van Buren, the canceled Fallout 3 by Black Isle Studios.
- Ty Williamson sees many therapists over the course of the series.
- The Therapist is a professional therapist that Dee Reynolds had been seeing.
- Appearing first in Powerless in the Face of Death and last appearing in Self-Medication, this is referred to only as "therapist" in the Powerless in the Face of Death voice credits and as "psychiatrist" in Self-Medication. He leads a number of recovery groups, including one for former henchmen and one for former boy adventurers.
- Unnamed therapist was visited by Lara Croft after her ordeal on the Yamatai island. Even though the sessions were private, Trinity managed to get their hands on them.
- With cheats, it's possible to have a baby with the Therapist. Although the Therapist does not have very good genetics and most offspring have very large eyes right next to each other and gaunt faces. The shrink can only be seen by the Sim that he is taking care of, and the player can only see the shrink if the Sim the therapist is tending to is selected. But Sims in the same room will turn to the Sim being helped and do the 'You're Crazy!' sign. This could be a reference to The Sixth Sense where only the boy can see the therapist, Bruce Willis.
- A therapist was a qualified psychologist who treated the psychological issues of individuals. Some, like Beverly Crusher, believed that therapists were the worst patients, second only to doctors. (TNG: "The Loss" ) The private life of therapists was considered as off-limits to patients. For example, it was considered inappropriate for a patient to follow their therapist on vacation. (VOY: "Inside Man") There was an expectation by some that therapists were individuals who were advanced in age. (DS9: "Afterimage")

But Sims in the same room will turn to the Sim being helped and do the 'You're Crazy!' sign. This could be a reference to The Sixth Sense where only the boy can see the therapist, Bruce Willis. Making the Therapist selectable or adding him to a family will cause game corruption, as his character file is located in the objects.package file, and is the same for all neighborhoods. A much safer way to play as the Therapist is to create him in CAS with debugging cheats enabled. Since the Therapist has facial features that are highly customized, and eyebrows, glasses, and facial hair that can't be accessed in-game, the easiest way to play as the Therapist is to download an exact replica of him here. Oddly, if the player Shift+Clicks on him while testingcheatsenabled is on, all the options that normally appear on normal Sims will appear, instead of the two used for Sims with incomplete data or universal Sims. Players should NOT click on any of these options, as it may cause game corruption. When using SimPE, one can see that his last name is Therapist, making his technical name "Therapist Therapist". The Therapist cannot be seen by other Sims, other than the Sim he is healing. This is similar to what happens with a Sim and the Social Bunny. A second Elder thumbnail of him exists in the game files and can be found with SimPE. He and Pollination Technician are the only NPCs in The Sims 2 base game to have customized face templates. The Therapist's hair was most likely black before it turned grey, seeing as if the player makes a Sim have a baby with him, they will usually have black hair. The Therapist's default hair color is identified in-game as black, and his genetics also seem to be very dominant. It should be noted that he doesn't always have an aspiration when viewing SimPE. The Therapist's interests are different in each neighborhood. It should be noted that when viewing SimPE, he may not always have interests. There is a small chance that the game may try using the Therapist in a walk-by. However this rarely happens, and if it does, he just shows up, stands there and eventually disappears. This is probably due to a glitch. According to SimPE, he is 3 days from being an elder, disregarding the fact that he doesn't age. File:Icon-warning-48x48.png Warning Do NOT attempt to make the Therapist selectable, move him into a family, turn him into a supernatural creature, or tamper with him in any way or form outside of his in-game designated purposes. Doing so will cause game corruption, fixed only by uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

(VOY: "Inside Man") There was an expectation by some that therapists were individuals who were advanced in age. (DS9: "Afterimage") The Tantalus Penal Colony employed several therapists, including a man named Eli. In the mid-23rd century, after her rehabilitation there, Lethe became a therapist for her fellow inmates. Dr. Adams praised her skill to James T. Kirk and Helen Noel. Later, another therapist explained the workings of the neural neutralizer to Kirk. (TOS: "Dagger of the Mind" ) As of 2367, the USS Enterprise-D had several qualified therapists on board. (TNG: "The Loss" ) In 2370, when Data was visiting Deanna Troi aboard the USS Enterprise-D, Juliana Tainer mistakenly believed that Data was having a sexual relationship with Troi. When Data recognized Juliana's mistake, he informed her that Troi was the ship's therapist. (TNG: "Inheritance" ) In 2374, a Federation magistrate wanted Molly O'Brien evaluated for her issues at a special care center on Dalvos Prime. There was an expectation that Molly would be staying long-term at the facility. Her father, Miles O'Brien, expressed his dissatisfaction with the magistrate's suggestion. Miles desired that his daughter form a connection with him and her mother, not some therapist Molly did not know. (DS9: "Time's Orphan") That same year, The Doctor integrated the psychological approach of two methods for Seven of Nine's memory reconstruction. One of these methods was the approach used by Jungian therapists, who attempted to retrieve unconscious memories by exploring synchronicities in recent events. (VOY: "Retrospect") Both Jake Sisko and Quark expressed surprise in 2375 that Ezri Dax was a therapist. When she asked the Ferengi why everybody was so surprised to hear it, he attirbuted it to her youth. (DS9: "Shadows and Symbols", "Afterimage") In 2376, Deanna Troi expressed her frustration with The Doctor and Lewis Zimmerman's constant personality clashes (especially given that The Doctor was trying to save Zimmerman, his creator and template's, life ) saying she'd need " a whole team of therapists just to get them in the same room.". (VOY: "Life Line")
