  • The anime series Chrono Crusade premiered in Japan on Fuji TV on November 23, 2003 and ran for twenty-four episodes until its conclusion on June 10, 2004. Produced by Gonzo Digimation, the series is adapted from the first three volumes of the eight volume manga series of the same name by Daisuke Moriyama across the first thirteen episodes. The remainder of the series is primarily an original story line that occasionally still pulls from the source manga, which was incomplete at the time the anime series finished.

ShortSummary
  • Rosette and Chrono are sent to retrieve Azmaria Hendric, an apostle. After a series of events, Azmaria is captured by Viscount Lerajie, a devil.
  • Satella is captured by a devil worshiper who is in league with Aion. Aion later reveals that it was him who killed her family and that her older sister is still alive.
  • Rosette and Chrono take a trip to the Seventh Bell Orphanage where Rosette explains how she and her brother, Joshua, met Chrono four years prior.
  • A hellhound is running amok devouring Mafiosi. It is up to Rosette and Satella to stop it.
  • Chrono and Joshua battle in the sky while Aion's Sinners battle below. After everything is over Aion makes his escape with Rosette.
  • The Pursuers and the Magdalene Order battle the Sinners Genai and Vido.
  • Chrono comes down with a fever and Satella and Rosette try to find medicine in order for Chrono's fever to come down.
  • Joshua is given Chrono's horns by Aion, to give him power. Chrono and Rosette make a pact to each other after losing Joshua.
  • Rosette, Chrono and Azmaria head by train to San Francisco. However, they fall into one of Rizal's traps.
  • Everything returns to normal. The Seventh Bell Orphanage is unfrozen and Chrono and Rosette are together on their last day on earth.
  • Aion uses Rosette's power of miracles to heal the sick and wounded. Fiore and Satella battle each other, taking each others' lives.
  • Rosette's first mission as Militia brings her to recover a corpse from the Mafia with the meeting of Satella, the Jewel Witch.
  • Disasters in the Bible become fulfilled. As the Order scrambles to reseal the Seven Wings Seal, Rosette and company meet Aion, a former acquaintance of Chrono.
  • Rosette, Aion and Chrono meet at an abandoned church where Rosette demands her life back from Chrono. Later, Aion and Chrono battle each other one last time.
  • Azmaria, enjoying her first nice Christmas, tries to find the perfect gift for Rosette and Chrono.
  • Rosette takes the militia test but a fiendish Mind Eater takes over the body of Azmaria who is there with Rosette.
  • Duffau, the Duke of Pandemonium, seeks allegiance with Rosette and her party. Later on, Rosette accepts.
  • The Elder invents his latest weapon, the "spirit", and Rosette promptly loses it.
  • Chrono remembers his past as well as his life with Mary of Magdalene. He also remembers her predicting her own death in the hands of Chrono.
  • Rosette, an exorcist in the Magdalene Order, and her friend/assistant, Chrono, go after a menacing devil.
  • Minister Remington is held captive by Rizal, a Sinner. Rosette goes to Grand Central Station, where Remington is held at but has fallen for Rizal's trap.
  • Chrono transforms into his true form and with Rosette go after Ricardo's blimp to save Azmaria
  • The group takes time off at a local carnival. Rosette, after a romantic encounter with Chrono, sees Aion's eagle and follows it to find Joshua.
  • Rosette and Joshua meet, although Joshua doesn't remember her. Aion activates the Ritual of Atonement, and it is revealed that Rosette is an apostle, the reincarnation of Mary of Magdalene. Furthermore, Fiore, Satella's sister, is also there.

  • The anime series Chrono Crusade premiered in Japan on Fuji TV on November 23, 2003 and ran for twenty-four episodes until its conclusion on June 10, 2004. Produced by Gonzo Digimation, the series is adapted from the first three volumes of the eight volume manga series of the same name by Daisuke Moriyama across the first thirteen episodes. The remainder of the series is primarily an original story line that occasionally still pulls from the source manga, which was incomplete at the time the anime series finished. The anime was licensed for release in North America by ADV Films. The company's English dub of the series was broadcast in the United States on Showtime Beyond from February 17, 2006 through July 28, 2006. ADV released the episodes across seven individual DVD volumes before releasing the entire series in a single box set collection. The series uses two pieces of theme music. "Tsubasa wa Pleasure Line"(翼は Pleasure LineTsubasa wa Pureshā Rain, Wings Are Pleasure Line), by Minami Kuribayashi, is used for the series' opening theme while Saeko Chiba's "Sayonara Solitaire"(さよならソリティアSayonara Soritia, Farewell Solitaire) is used for the ending theme.
