  • Famicom Bunko: Hajimari no Mori (Famicom Pocket Books: The Forest of Beginnings) is a Pax Softnica developed video game released for the Super Famicom in July of 1999 exclusively in Japan. It was one of the last video games that the company developed. Nintendo published the game, and would rerelease it exclusively in Japan for the Wii's Virtual Console. Nintendo was hoping that the game would become a series, though due to it being released exclusively on the Nintendo Power system, the game received very poor sales. The game being released in the middle of 1999 could also have contributed to poor sales due to the system being surpassed greatly by the much superior Nintendo 64.
