The Fated Nine, later known as the Fated Eight, was no exception to this rule: gifted with not only skilled individuals, but also an overall sense of camaraderie, they were among the best special operatives in the Federation. Formed by Teka Kreigor III in 2584 between Teka, Veloc Mako and Antulas Argenta, the group was then known as Destiny's Trio. As time progressed, the team slowly became the Fated Nine, composed of elite Wild Seven operatives that had lost their teams, members of the GEARS Project like Teka, and new recruits that Teka saw potential in.
