When he was 4 years into a five-year basketball scholarship in the U.S. he was drafted by the Harlem Globetrotters (22 June 2011). Abandoning his dream that his size and talent will earn him a big-money contract through the National Basketball Association after finishing his sports science degree at West Virginia's Mountain State University. The Harlem Globetrotters list him at 7 feet 8 inches tall, but in November 2011 (on Guinness World Records Day) he was officially measured at 7 feet 7.26 inches (231.8 cm). At 7 feet 8 inches tall he would have been the tallest Englishman, but at 7 feet 7.26 inches, he is the second tallest Englishman after Neil Fingleton.
