  • Mrs Stubbs
rdfs:comment
  • Mrs Stubbs was a customer on Eddie Yeats’s bin round. Her back yard was full of junk in the midst of which was an old but serviceable dining table. Eddie offered to buy the table off her but she told him she might as well let it rot rather than pay to have it taken away. The canny lady did let him have it in lieu of his Christmas box though. Eddie sold the table to Brian and Gail Tilsley who had just moved into their house for £5, telling them that that was what he had paid for it but his conscience got the better of him and he gave them £2 back, calling it a “wedding present”.
