  • Deltéo region mythology depicts the first three members of the Status Quartet as soldiers who ultimately sacrificed themselves to restore peace to the land during a time of civil war; they, as their group name suggests, each represent a particular statistic. For example, Impertogon represents offense and appears before those who have proven themselves to be strong of heart and strong of will. It compensates for a low defense stat with the ability to unleash devastating physical attacks. Palisaegon, on the other hand, represents defense and appears before those who selflessly make sacrifices for others. abstract
It is slow to move, and it compensates for a low attack stat with defensive properties that are second-to-none. The third member of the Status Quartet, Exsonigon, represents speed and only makes its presence known to those who tend to act in haste. Its attack and defense stats are equally balanced, and it prefers to overwhelm enemies with its insane alacrity instead of attacking. It was recently discovered by scientists and archaeologists active in the Deltéo region that through battle, Impertogon, Palisaegon, and Exsonigon are able to fuse together to form the mythical Bedlam Pokémon, Abzolugon. Ancient writings depict this creature as an indestructible force of pure evil that embodies discord and destroys anything and everything in its path. While this creature no longer exists today, it is said that if a worthy Pokémon Trainer has a party consisting of an Impertogon holding the Soul of Offense, a Palisaegon holding the Soul of Defense, and an Exsonigon holding the Soul of Speed and brings them to the Soul Shrine, the three legendary Pokémon will automatically fuse together once again to produce a level 100 Abzolugon. This creature will then challenge the Pokémon Trainer who recreated it to battle, giving him or her the chance to catch it. It should be noted that Impertogon, Palisaegon, and Exsonigon will not fuse together without the three Soul-items, nor will they be in the party after Abzolugon is captured. The player must diffuse Abzolugon to get them back. The legend of the Status Quartet is based on an event known as Ragnarok that exists in Norse mythology. According to Norse mythology, Ragnarok is a series of future events, including a great battle in which many of the Norse gods perish, the occurrence of various natural disasters, and the submersion of the world in water. In the wake of these apocalyptic events, the world is said to resurface anew and fertile, repopulated by two human survivors. Most (if not all) of these events are reflected through either the game- or anime-versions of the legends surrounding the Status Quartet.
