| abstract | - Inkarian wool was a material used to make clothing. In late 2372, Elim Garak made Constable Odo a uniform out of Inkarian wool after Odo was transformed into a Human by the Founders. Odo commented that the uniform itched, to which Garak joked that he hoped he wasn't allergic to it. (DS9: "Broken Link") According to the script, the pronunciation for Inkarian was "in-KAR-ee-an". [1] According to Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 46) and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), there was a star system named Inkaria, which might possibly be the system of origin for this material, in the Alpha Quadrant. The primary of this system was either a K-class star (Star Trek: Star Charts) or a G-class star (Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library).
