rdfs:comment | - Traffic in Audiosurf, is a catch-all term for objects you can bump into during main gameplay. It is notable that they also move on their own, the only way players can catch up to them is because their cars are moving faster. Players can only bump one piece of traffic at a time, even though you may be playing Double Vision. This means that 2 blocks will never pass through the player at once.
- After disbanding in 1969, during which time Winwood joined Blind Faith, Traffic reunited in 1970 to release the critically acclaimed album John Barleycorn Must Die. The band's line-up varied from this point until they disbanded again in 1975. A partial reunion, with Winwood and Capaldi, took place in 1994. In 2004, Traffic were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. (Read more at Wikipedia)

- Traffic is a 2000 American crime drama film directed by Steven Soderbergh and written by Stephen Gaghan. It explores the illegal drug trade from a number of perspectives: a user, an enforcer, a politician and a trafficker. Their stories are edited together throughout the film, although some of the characters do not meet each other. The film is an adaptation of the British Channel 4 television series Traffik.
- Traffic is created when Sims use transportation such as cars and buses to get around the city. Traffic can consist of pedestrians, cars, buses, trains, and other types of transportation depending on the game. Having too much traffic can cause traffic jams, and the city's transportation advisor will usually notify the player about it.

- Speed limits are set for road traffic, and if someone is caught speeding, a police car could pull the offender's vehicle to the side of the road. When G.E.E.C. service was common in America, a traffic guard had little to do, as no one was out, because of the G.E.E.C., so all he did was sit in the middle of the street and read a newspaper, because there was zero traffic. During the Cosmic Crisis, the sun's heat caused a bunch of automobiles to overheat, thereby stopping up traffic. At the City Line Traffic Circle, a traffic jam is caused by what drivers think is an Alien Invasion.

- Traffic refers to the cars and buses that can be seen in several tracks throughout the Mario Kart series. On the tracks, the traffic serves as an obstacle to add more a challenge to the track. If one hits one of these vehicles, he/she either spins out, flies into the air, or becomes squished. Traffic travels slower than the speed of the racers, though karts that are shrunken (as a result of a Thunderbolt) needs to be careful since they move at about the same speed. Running into a car while invincible, such as while using a Starman or Bullet Bill, causes the car to flip upwards into the air.
- 20th Century Fox, the original financiers of the film, demanded Harrison Ford play a leading role and that significant changes to the screenplay be made. Soderbergh refused and proposed the script to other major Hollywood studios, but it was rejected because of the three-hour running time and the subject matter — Traffic is more of a political film than most Hollywood productions. USA Films, however, liked the project from the start and offered the film-makers more money than Fox. Soderbergh operated the camera himself and adopted a distinctive cinematography tint for each story so that audiences could tell them apart.

- Traffic was an English rock band whose members came from the West Midlands. The group formed in April 1967 by Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Chris Wood and Dave Mason. They began as a psychedelic rock group whose early singles were influenced by The Beatles, and diversified their sound through the use of instruments such as keyboards like the Mellotron and harpsichord, sitar, and various reed instruments, and by incorporating jazz and improvisational techniques in their music. Their first three singles were "Paper Sun", "Hole in My Shoe", and "Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush".
- Traffic (formerly known as "dwell" since SL 1.5.13 (Jan 12, 2005)) refers to the amount of resident-related traffic a land parcel receives. Traffic is a total number based on the amount of residents and how much time they spend on that parcel. The owner is then paid an amount of money from a shared "pot" based on the total traffic their parcel has earned (this is being deprecated--see links below). Traffic is also used for listings in the Find window, such as "Popular Places".

USA Films, however, liked the project from the start and offered the film-makers more money than Fox. Soderbergh operated the camera himself and adopted a distinctive cinematography tint for each story so that audiences could tell them apart. Traffic was critically acclaimed and earned numerous awards, including four Oscars: Best Director for Steven Soderbergh, Best Supporting Actor for Benicio Del Toro, Best Adapted Screenplay for Stephen Gaghan and Best Film Editing for Stephen Mirrione. It was also a commercial success with a worldwide box-office revenue total of $207.5 million, well above its estimated $46 million budget. In 2004, USA Network ran a miniseries — also called Traffic — based on the American film and the earlier British television series.

Running into a car while invincible, such as while using a Starman or Bullet Bill, causes the car to flip upwards into the air. In newer games, traffic can be made up of different kinds of vehicles, such as Bob-omb Cars which explode when touched by a racer or item, and Wigglers, which are long and don't travel in a straight line. In Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, there are cars that look similar to Mushrooms. When one bumps into one of these, he/she does not spin out, and a Mushroom flies out of the car.

This can be helpful if the Mushroom lands in a spot that is easy for the player to get to, and in a direction for the boost to not cause the player to fall off of the edge or into a harmful car. In the reappearance of Toad's Turnpike in Mario Kart 8, some vehicles even allowed the racers to do tricks or glide off of them.

Traffic was put in place as a way of gauging interest in a build or location. It replaced the Voting Stations system. Due to abuse by some residents using tactics such as "camping chairs" (chairs that you would get paid to sit in and "dwell" on the land at the same time), along with an economic inflation, payment from traffic will be removed. However, traffic will still be used for the Find listings.
