All of Rey's problems were due to a government experiment he had been kidnapped into to test human memory, brainwashing, and the effects of a mysterious drug, and Batista who was brought in originally as part of the experiment but was recruited by double agents to assist other government agencies in bringing down the conspiracy, as well as several of his fellow wrestlers have come to rescue him. It can be found here The as-yet unwritten third story is tenatively titled It's A Shame About Rey, following the aftermath of the previous two stories and the effects all the events have had on everyone involved. A fourth, "side-quel" story, First Date Night has been written which the author notes is canon, set before Mind Tricks and detailing Jeff and Morrison's first date, however, it has no real bearing on the plot of the trilogy aside from maybe some continuity gags.
