| abstract | - Peter Knab is a former NASCAR driver from Dayton, OH. He competed in three Sprint Cup Series events in his career. All three starts came in 1977 season, when Knab raced the #05 Bearfinder Chevy. He made his debut in the spring Talladega Superspeedway event, starting 35th. Knab was able to complete 180 of the 188 laps that day in route to a career-best 12th place effort. He returned to Talladega later in the summer, where he earned his career-best start of 33rd in time trials. His race ended prematurely, with an engine issue leaving him in 33rd. Then, Knab made his final start at Lowe's Motor Speedway, where he started 34th and wound up 20th.
