Ed Boon claimed there is a substantial reward for clearing the final Challenge, which he describes as incredibly difficult. Players can use Koins to skip a challenge. If a challenge is skipped and not completed, the player will not earn the achievement "Tower Master" awarded for completing the Tower. The reward for clearing the Challenge Tower was revealed to be Mileena's Flesh Pits Costume. Along with the costume, the player earns an achievement entitled: "Best...Alternate...EVER!" It is not necessary, however, to clear all Tower Challenges to unlock the outfit, as it will be automatically unlocked as of the completion of the final challenge. The PS Vita version of Mortal Kombat (2011) featured 150 new challenges.
