After learning about puppetry she (unsuccessfully) auditioned for The Muppets, but her new skill brought her a series of job offers and in 2004 she won the role of Bessie BusyBody in LazyTown. The successful children's show is shown worldwide and filmed in Iceland, where Julie regularly spends a couple of months each year. Other voice-only character works include The Hoobs, Fully Booked and The Rhyme Rocket.
