  • John F. Kennedy took over the presidency after the death of Harry S. Truman. He writes an unlimited check to General Groves to further the efforts of the Manhattan Project. Unknown to him, Groves was working with the affiliates and secretly using the money to further science and human experimentation. When Kennedy was informed of Grove's betrayel to the United States, he had Lyndon B. Johnson dispatched to take care of them. He was assassinated by Groves during a presidential parade, and the blame was placed an Lee Harvey Oswald.
