  • Advantages are that burlap and sand are inexpensive, and that the bags can be brought in empty and filled with local sand or soil.
  • Sandbag is the Drop gag. It succeeds the Flower Pot but precedes the Anvil.
  • Sandbag is the whipping post in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as many try to break records by seeing how far they can hit it in the Home Run Contest. Sandbag was rallied into the Summer 2008 Contest as a joke character and appeared as if it would only beat Commander Shepard. Surprisingly in the final hours, Sandbag made a comeback and gave Magus an embarrassing loss. In round two, Sandbag finished last against Sonic, Auron, and Sub-Zero.

Melee in the Home-Run contest, where your objective was to damage the Sandbag as much as possible in under 10 seconds. Once you have done so, you were then required to grab a home-run bat, go up to it, and send it soaring off of the stage as far as possible. The farther it went, the better. If you were able to send the Sandbag a certain distance, then you would come in possession of the Paper Mario trophy.
  • Sandbag or Sandbagged or Sandbagging is originally a professional wrestling term to refer to the noncooperation between competitors over a throw which sees a receiving-end wrestler act as dead weight, rendering difficult or sometimes impossible for the execution of a move by the offensive wrestler. desc
  • "Bland sand and canned sand should be banned!" say Anne, Fran, and Dan, owners of Grandstand sand. Cheap sandbag sand bounces of Cogs like a rubber band. The Grandstand brand is tanned, fanned sand - always grand, never bland. Canned sand's from no man's land. Grandstand Rio Grande sand is hand-panned in San Fran by Anne, Fran, and Dan in an unmanned van or sedan, left to expand in the Sea of Japan. So, if you're a hand-panned sand fan, demand Grandstand sand, now in tan and cyan.

It usually serves as indication to the offensive competitor performing the move that they are conducting something incorrectly such as not protecting their opponent or are operating stiffly. However, this term has popularly been dissimilarly adapted into e-wrestling defining a handler who equals their roleplay posts for an event with their opponent's own, but straight down to the deadline, posts a last minute roleplay response disallowing their opponent the time or chance to respond to their late post which usually the notion is that because the "sandbagger" has the freshest, latest post, they are likely to become victorious. Within the e-wrestling world, there have been multiple cases seen where this event occurs and excuses have imminently been made.

If you were able to send the Sandbag a certain distance, then you would come in possession of the Paper Mario trophy. Sandbag later appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii in multiple different ways. First and unarguably foremost is his role once again in the home-run contest, where your objective was once again to send him as far as possible. However, the developers of the game made it possible to deliver more damage to the character this time around, as there is now a shield around the stage that blocks the sandbag from accidentally be knocked off the stage, something that happened quite often in Melee. You're also allowed to play with a friend, and either work cooperatively or competitively with someone in the same area or someone else far away via Nintendo Wifi Connection. Also notable is the fact that you can pummel the innocent character while waiting for your game to load before connecting to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. It is also an item in Brawl that if you hit it hard, sometimes confetti comes out and an item comes out. Sandbag appears yet again in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U with pretty much the same role as in Brawl though in the 3DS version, he appears before all multiplayer battles instead of just online.

Here's how to fight him in Brawl: * Get all characters, stages, trophies, CDs, Assist Trophies, and stickers. * Beat Classic and The Subspace Emissary on Intense, one life, no continues, without taking any damage, and don't use any Smash Balls AT ALL!!!!!! * After you beat Tabuu, Sandbag will challenge you. After the credits roll, when you met the conditions, you will see an animation of Sandbag emerging from hiding. The cutscene is the same in all three games. It goes like this: You will be sent to Sandbag's lair. Sandbag will say, "Well, you found me at last. So prepare to meet thy doom.", then he'll blast you with his giant laser cannons, laugh manically, then you fight him. If you defeat him, another cutscene is shown. It shows Sandbag asploding and his lair breaking apart. Now you have to escape and avoid Sandbag's laser cannons. (he actually dies when you escape). After escaping, Sandbag and his lair asplode at the EXACT same time. During the asplosion, you can hear Sandbag screaming so loud that your character asplodes too. Don't worry, they will still be playable. Then a notice will say "ASTOUDING! YOU BATTLED SANDBAG FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!"
