abstract | - British Mountain Wrestling (BMW) is a wrestling promotion that was founded in Cardiff, Wales in 2003 by Grant Davies, Chris Edmunds and Alex Michaels. BMW was formerly known as Welsh Mountain Wrestling until the promotion was put on hiatus in November 2006 until November 2008 when it re-opened its doors under the name British Mountain Wrestling because of its rising popularity. The company became known for its loyal roster, as well as its fan base, not to mention the tendency to push the envelope with storylines. The company has showcased many different styles of wrestling, ranging from Backyard wrestling to Mixed Martial Art contests. But perhaps the biggest feature of BMW is the promotion's control of the infamous Shapeshift Chamber, and the ability to use the machine in any and every situation possible, including Tournaments and other competitions.
