See linked page for more instructions.) 3. Draw up a loop. This means hook the yarn you just wrapped on the hook and draw it through the loop already on the hook. You have just made one chain (1 ch in crochet abbreviations).

Chains are used when a card or effect is activated before another activated card or effect resolves. Each player has the opportunity to respond to each activation by activating another card or effect. Each activation is placed on the Chain as a Chain Link, with the first activation being Chain Link 1. Players follow Fast Effect Timing rules when adding effects to the chain. If neither player responds to the most recent Chain Link, the Chain resolves, with Chain Links resolving in the opposite order to which they were activated in. Cards and effects can only be added to a Chain while it is being constructed. Once a Chain starts to resolve, cards and effects cannot be activated until the entire Chain has resolved.

These add up to a grand total of approximately 480 damage. File:Image25.jpg By game Golden Sun: Dark Dawn: Chain becomes one of the party's most powerful and useful weapons when it is collected early in the last third of the game. Because it does not matter which of the battling Adepts it happens to be Set on, it would actually be prudent to put it on a low-attack "caster-style" Adept, so that high-attack "warrior-style" Adepts may be free to perform their own powerful maneuvers in addition. It is relatively near-sighted to label Chain a Djinni that "obsoletes" any of the other Djinn, because it is the only "Chain"-style effect that exists in the game, and is therefore available to only one Adept at a time. Other attacking Djinn, like the massive x1.9 damage multiplier of the Venus Djinni Geode, remain useful on other party members who have the capacity to unleash it on the same turn another Adept unleashes Chain, and in cases like these the other offensive Djinn are best Set on high-attack Adepts that do not also have Chain set onto them. In addition to the Psynergies and Djinn effects that can be used to maximize the party's Attack ratings for when a Chain unleash is executed, a particularly strong boost to Chain's overall damage output will be achieved if one of the current Adepts in the battle is Sveta having used the Beastform Psynergy to temporarily achieve a colossal Attack rating (Obviously, you would not want Chain to be on Sveta herself because she cannot Unleash Djinn in that state). While Sveta is in Beastform, her extremely high Attack rating can basically be put to use twice in the same turn - by one of her own special attacks and by a Chain unleash by another Adept.

However, the Noise increase in difficulty after each additional round. If you lose and select Retry, you will restart on the first battle in the chain. It is also prudent to mention that as part of the methods of gaining the secret reports, you must not chain the Boss Noise symbols with anything else (including Taboo Noise, and other Boss Noise) or it will not count.

- The Chain were a previously unknown power who turned up in the Alpha Quadrant in 2385. The Chain were made up of a previously unknown species, one said to have grey colored skin, with many lines and angles on their face, along with dark markings around the throat. These markings changed to pitch black whenever any member of the species experienced anger. Sometime before 2385, the Chain had been observing the events of the Alpha Quadrant, indicating a rudimentary knowledge of the affairs of the Quadrant. The Chain were technologically advanced, possessing technology that was a bit ahead of the major powers of the Alpha Quadrant. A noted example of this advance came in the form of Transwarp beaming, which was working well, but still relatively unsafe for frequent use. The Chain ship that was encountered had been heavily armed and dwarfed an Olympic-class Starfleet vessel. Although the Chain were technologically advanced, an offshoot of the Chain, the People of the Open Sky, indicated the state of the Chain homeworld was rife with poverty and inequality. The poor were left to fend for themselves, while the rich lived in luxury and only those in the highest castes of society were accepted to be leaders, even when it came to the military. In the eyes of the Chain, the People of the Open Sky were nothing more than separatists, who had a tendency to abduct children and mistreat them. The arrival of the People of the Open Sky in the Alpha Quadrant attracted the presence of the Chain, who attempted to track them. In November of 2385, the Chain sought the location of the People of the Open Sky, who had been taking refuge at Federation space station Deep Space 9. Though unsure where they were, they stopped the first ship they encountered, the Athene Donald. Upon meeting the crew, they let themselves receive a standard tour of the vessel, from which they showed an obvious amount of boredom. It wasn't until one of the vessel's crew let it slip that the People of the Open Sky were on Deep Space 9, unaware they had been after them, that they were shaken into action. The Chain vessel demanded the handing over of the People of the Open Sky, or else face destruction. The Chain were only prompted to stand down upon talking to the de facto leader of the People of the Open Sky, Oioli, an old friend of the captain of the Chain vessel. The two came to an agreement and the People were permitted to go about their business, with the Chain vessel turning around for home. (DS9 novel: The Missing)

* 6x: Vegas Anything after 6x is still referred to as a Vegas by the game, although players have taken to calling them Double Vegases, Triple Vegases, and so forth. One should note that a longer chain is not always a better chain. A sailing bingo that that includes multiple platform completions is better than a donkey that never completes a platform. In swordfighting, it is possible to create a double chain that will instakill (the deadliest swordfighting combo possible) and a Vegas that will drops less than four rows of sprinkles (a somewhat effective attack but, unless the opponent has very little room left on his board, generally not deadly). In shipwrightery, chains are multiple patterns placed on the board without moving any pieces. Image:Stub.pngArr! This article be a stub. Ye can help YPPedia by [ expanding it].

As the chain is constructed much like its real life counterpart, it is highly reinforced and durable; this means it is capable of completely preventing the damage inflicted by even high-level attacks, including those conducted by a death scythe such as Justin Law's Holy Jūji-Shūtō. It appears that the chain itself acts according to Giriko's will, rather than being completely independent, resulting in it requiring time to wrap around the intended section of his body. Even though this process only takes mere moments, during that time large quantities of Giriko's body are left largely undefended, leaving a slight opening for opponents to cause damage. Giriko can also release the chains off his body to direct along the ground at his opponent. Due to the current circumstances involved with the ability's demonstration, it is unknown if the chain is continuously in motion or not when on his own body. However, when directing the chains off his body, and should the chains pass his opponent, Giriko can redirect the chains to come back to hit his opponent from behind.

- A surveying unit in U.S. Survey and International systems of Inch-Pound measure. Four chains measure 792 inches, 66 feet, 22 yards, or 4 rods, 1/10 of a furlong. For purposes of land survey, it is divided decimally into hundredths called links (7.92"). There are 80 chains or 8000 links in a mile. In the United States, the U.S. survey link and chain are approximately two parts per million larger than their international equivalents. Some U.S. states specify U.S. survey units, some specify international units, and some don't make a specification.
- Not to be confused with belts. The chain (also known as an ammo belt) is a type of dart holding device. In addition to coming included with certain blasters, these are also sold in refill packs.
- For the armor, see chainmail. The chain is adventuring gear. It has no official description, aside from price and cost being calculated in 10 foot increments. [PH:222]
* Price: 30 gp
* Weight: 2 lb. It can be burst with a DC 28 Strength check. [RC:175] If attacked directly, it would have 45 hit points. (Small size = 10, Reinforced * 1.5, iron or steel *3) Other editions also assign a hardness rating of 10, but objects don't have inherent hardness in 4th edition.
- 1. Make a slip knot with your yarn. The resulting loop is where your crochet hook goes. Put the hook into the loop and pull the knot so it is able to slide easily along your hook but no looser. 2. Yarn over your hook. (This means essentially wrapping your yarn once around the hook so that it can hook it, but it is more usual to move the hook to wrap it in the yarn. See linked page for more instructions.) 3. Draw up a loop. This means hook the yarn you just wrapped on the hook and draw it through the loop already on the hook. --- If you have trouble drawing the chain through your loop, this means you are holding the yarn too tightly. Achieving proper tension is one of the most difficult crochet nuances and will come with practice. You have just made one chain (1 ch in crochet abbreviations).
- The Chain is an item Heather Mason picks up during the events of Silent Hill 3. Heather finds the chain while exploring the horrific Otherworld version of Lakeside Amusement Park. The chain is on top of the center bleachers in the children's stage area. Heather uses the chain to force open the gate beyond which Douglas Cartland is found. She does this by tying one end of the chain to the locked gate and the other end to the center column of the nearby Swing Rocket ride and then turning the ride on.
