He was a thief who clearly hated the light, something that could be used against him during the fight. In the game, the creature would change his appearance to look like a female character, though his true identity would be revealed if Link tricked him to go under some light, in which he would retort back to his true identity. The blood-red demon looking character wears a white robe. He sports two fangs that jut far out of his mouth and two large claws. After knocking the beast down, his head would be discharged from his body and would then continue to fly around the arena. While doing this, he would spew fire balls at his opponent, though ultimately after a grueling battle, the thief would be defeated and the maiden Link came to save would be freed.
