  • * The same sleazy salesman from “There's Something About Paulie,” “Ready, Willing, and Disabled,” “Hell Comes to Quahog,” “When You Wish Upon a Weinstein,” “Model Misbehavior,” and Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story appears in the shop where Peter buys the flannel pajamas. * This is the first episode in Family Guy to point out the fact that they all wear the same clothes. Peter made the statement green shirt tan pants, yeah that's refreshing! poking fun at the age old conundrum to which all animated shows fall prey that the characters wear the exact same clothing each and every time. This was made apparent in "Brian in Love" where Lois is seen folding her own identical laundry and also in "Emission Impossible" where Stewie goes into Peter's closet to grab a shirt from a row of identical shirts and pants. * Peter rudely insults a customer after he is asked whether the restaurant accepts the Discover Card, poking fun at the card’s relatively easy credit acceptance. * Brian recalls the time when he and his African American roommate were watching the verdict in the O.J. Simpson murder case. Brian was shocked by the “Not Guilty” verdict while his roommate was thrilled, reflecting the racial split of public opinion about the trial, which is another poke at Brian’s racial problems with blacks. * Mike Henry turned 43 the day this episode aired. * When someone complains about there not being enough sauce on their prime ribs, Stewie force-feeds a bottle of sauce to a rat, causing it to vomit on the steak. However, it is a fact that rats cannot vomit.http://www.ratbehavior.org/vomit.htm * Stewie mentions that he is the only one in the family with business experience. This is contradicted in "PTV", and "Mind Over Murder". * Liza Minnelli appears in a playboy shoot, calling out to her late mother Judy Garland. * The show performs the theme song to Maude and adds more historical references than already existed in the tune with Madame Curie, Clara Barton, Susan B. Anthony, Pocahontas, Indira Gandhi, Babe Zaharias, Amelia Earhart and Cleopatra added to the lyrics. * Peter mentions M.C. Escher in a parody of MC Hammer. The setting of the video was based on Escher’s Relativity. * During a montage of Peter in a wheelchair, “I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues” by Elton John is playing. * The cutaway of Peter speaking with vocal cords he got from Patrick Stewart has two versions. In the censored version, Peter, in Stewart’s voice, tells Lois that he can list several famous Armenians, including actor Eric Bogosian, tennis player Andre Agassi, and college basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian. The uncensored version features Peter apologizing to Lois for staining the bathroom and blames his faulty urination on having sex with her.
