  • Kim Manners (d. 2009) was a director and executive producer of the series Supernatural. Unfortunately, he passed away during Season 4 of the show. On March 12, 2009, when Season 4's Death Takes A Holiday aired, the end credits contained two photos of him along with the caption We dedicate the entire season to Kim Manners with a final message stating We miss you, Kim. Manners had also directed episodes of Charlie's Angels, Automan, Simon & Simon, Hunter, Mission: Impossible, Baywatch, The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. and The X-Files.
  • Prior to directing his TNG episode, Manners was a director and production manager on the action drama series Charlie's Angels. The Star Trek performers he directed on this series included Darleen Carr, Joanna Cassidy, Gary Lockwood, Barbara Luna, and Branscombe Richmond. He later directed several episodes of the action series Hardcastle and McCormick, which starred Brian Keith and Daniel Hugh Kelly in the lead roles. Manners was the brother of Kelly A. Manners, who was a Unit Production Manager on The Next Generation during its first season.

After The X-Files ended in 2002 (having directed the final episode), he served as executive producer and occasional director on the series Supernatural. He passed away due to cancer on January 25, 2009. Both the fourth season of Supernatural and a second season episode of Breaking Bad (whose creator, Vince Gilligan, worked with Manners on The X-Files) were dedicated to him.

In 2005, Manners became a director and co-executive producer on the television series Supernatural. He continued working on this series until his death from cancer on 25 January 2009.
