| abstract | - A Platinum Circlet is a Circlet-class headwear available in both Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age. It is sold in armor vendors at Lunpa and Lalivero in Golden Sun and at Izumo and Contigo in The Lost Age. This circlet can be equipped on all mage-style Adepts in both games, namely Ivan and Mia in the first game, together with Jenna and Sheba in the second. It increases the equipped Adept's base Defense rating by 29 points. Its buy value is 4200 coins and its sell value is 3150 coins. In Golden Sun when it can first be bought in Lunpa, it is not that useful an item to buy because it is only a few defense points above the equipment Ivan and Mia might be having at present, like the Guardian Circlet, Glittering Tiara, Ninja Hood, and possibly a Prophet's Hat. Further taking away from the Platinum Circlet's potential appeal is the fact that in the Lunpa Fortress optional dungeon that you must clear before Lunpa's vendors open up, you can find the game's best Circlet artifact in a chest, the Mythril Circlet, which has more Defense and some PP recovery. In Golden Sun: The Lost Age, when you are first able to explore the Great Eastern Sea on the Lemurian Ship, either Jenna or Sheba might be equipped with the Nurse's Cap. A Platinum Circlet being bought at Izumo would be a strong upgrade over the Nurse's Cap, but not necessarily over a Clarity Circlet because that increases Jupiter power level and is still useful for Sheba to remain equipped with. Note that if this game is being played without any data transfer or with a Password that's either Bronze or Silver-level, when Isaac's party joins Felix Ivan and Mia will be equipped with Platinum Circlets, which are inferior to the equipment Felix's party will surely have collected by that point.
