The sets stood mostly unchanged throughout the Original Series' production, with minor modifications to the corridors and the addition of engineering and the brig. Occasionally, when only the bridge set was needed for the actual episode, the Enterprise sets were temporarly struck, to make room for additional swing sets besides those built on Stage 10. The living quarters set was often redressed to represent the ship's briefing room and rec room. In 1996 , the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine production staff planned to place the recreated USS Enterprise sets for "Trials and Tribble-ations" on Stage 31 as a tribute to Star Trek.
