abstract | - Edward "Stanky" Stankiewicz (born November 30, 1929 in Kitchener, Ontario) is a retired professional ice hockey right winger. He played 6 NHL games with the Detroit Red Wings. He is the brother of Myron Stankiewicz, a pro hockey left winger who also played in the NHL. He played junior hockey for the Windsor Spitfires and turned pro with the major senior Toronto Marlboros in 1950-51. He was called up to the Detroit Red Wings for one game in 1953-54 and five games in 1955-56, scoring no points. Stankiewicz played most of his career in the minor pros, retiring in 1965. He was the coach of the Long Island Ducks in 1970-71.
