Alerted by the police, the Grimshaw family arrived to see Todd. The nurse showed them into his room and told them that he would be nearby if they needed him. A few days later he changed Todd's dressings and the patient insisted on seeing the scope of his facial injuries in a mirror. The doctor agreed he could and Todd was devastated to see the scar on his face which he was told would be permanent. At the point the Grimshaws arrived en masse to visit him but Todd yelled at them all to get out and the nurse escorted them from the room. After he had re-applied his dressings, he allowed the family back in but told them it could only be for a short while as Todd needed his rest.
