  • Power is a level 124 (and growing) guild on the Rushu server which was created by Tasuja in December 2005. We are one of the oldest active guilds with more than 130 members and our average member is between level 180-200. The majority of our members are brakmarian(including the leader and all officers), but this does not mean that we are a brakmarian guild - we accept people of all alignments. The guild is most active on European evenings, but we usually have at least a few members online around the clock. The guilds leadership consists of mainly 20-30 year old people from different countries in the world. We also have a fairly lively guild chat. On the downside we are not very active with guild dungeon runs/hunts since most of our members have formed groups with whom they prefer to do those things with. You can still find help with doing souls (on Brakmar arena at least) and hunts/dungeon runs every now and then.
  • Power (パワー, Pawā)? is a demon in the series.
  • The Power is one of the 8 core attributes. This attribute defines a character's core physical strength, defining the physical damage inflicted on an enemy. This attribute is the characters attack power. As with any attribute, Power can be altered by Consumable items, such as Food, Potions, or by Spells.
  • A power is an innate magical ability. It can also be seen as an intuitive, inborn access to and tacit knowledge of a spell. * Power * Ability * Knack * Talent * Gift * Skill
  • An amateur must use the minimum transmitter power necessary to carry out any desired communication. Power is measured in watts.
  • This spell is used in Witchyworld to turn on the different attractions in the Space Zone. This spell powers on the Dodgem Dome, the Star Spinner, and the Saucer of Peril ride.
  • Their Type Action (R1) uses a hefty amount of the user's Musou for a "special art" (必殺技, lit. Sure-Killing Art) in the form of a damaging attack, a power-based aura buff or both; they often come with limited invulnerability during its execution, and focus the most on damage compared to the other types. Notable downsides for their Type Actions involve the fact that they cannot be used in the middle of their attack strings, and that they use up the most Musou compared to other character types' Type Actions. The former downside is changed in the third title as they are able to use their Type Actions to cancel out of most of their attacks. However, nearly all Power-types save for a few no longer retain buff-based Type Actions and instead have Type Actions that are normally powerful attacks. Characters in this class have the Hyper Armor function preventing them from flinching. Charge attacks, other Type Actions, Musou Attacks, getting hit while airborne or higher leveled foes however, can break through their Hyper Armor with ease and will cause them to flinch normally in most cases. Also to note, there are cases where the damage inflicted upon them via their Hyper Armor will not be reduced, causing some Power types to take a lot of unneeded damage. Through the physics changes from Dynasty Warriors 7, the third title allows their Hyper Armor to be bypassed by grounded-hits via incoming attacks if they are hit while stunned.
  • Power materials are represented by deep blue jewels with an Elemental material structure. The name "power" clearly references the "essence of strength" the material contains.
  • Those who are addicted to powers are called power-hungry. These guys often want power so they can be evil. These people should not have any power NO MATTER WHAT! They shouldn't even have power over a Toaster! Power can be gained in so many ways, I'm not going to list them. Though I will say that if you touch something radioactive, it will NOT give you power. It will turn you weird colors if you survive though. Don't believe me? Ask Barney.
  • Su nombre hace referencia a su habilidad de absorver y laznar rayos de poder.
  • In World of Warcraft, power can mean a couple of things: 1. * Some extraordinary, fantastical or magical action or effect a character, mob, or NPC can perform or an item can produce, like a special ability or spell. Powers tend not to result from professions or skills. 2. * An attribute like Attack Power. See also: * – mob/NPC powers list (incomplete)

  • Also known as POW, Power is one of the main stats in the Shadow Hearts series. Power affects the amount of Special attack power a character can withstand. Various abilities and equipment can alter the Power stat. Power can be increased between 1-5 points by using the Seal of Power item, though the bonus added varies between games.
  • The Power refers to the supernatural abilities displayed by several of the teenage residents of Perdido Beach. __TOC__ The Power manifests itself in several abilities that the teenagers handle in different ways. Abilities vary from teleportation, telekinesis, super speed and reading the power levels of other individuals with the power, although the most common exhibited so far is teleportation, shown by Taylor, Little Pete and Emily, though each of their teleportation abilities are slightly different. Computer Jack brought to the attention of the Coates kids that abilities seem focused through the hands (though this may not always be the case, as Taylor and Little Pete require only to know where they are going and Orc is almost completely covered in stone). As a result of this observation, Caine had kids in Coates academy he did not trust have their hands encased in plaster in order to stop them rebelling. Astrid observes in Gone that Diana said she reads power levels like cellphone bars and as such, The Powers may be using an energy source for the abilities to work, though it is unknown what the energy source or 'Cellphone tower' may be. Though it may be the energy surrounding the FAYZ, it should be noted that Sam, Caine, and a couple of the other Coates kids' abilities were working before the energy bubble appeared, although the rate of those who discovered their powers accelerated after the FAYZ happened. Although most kids with powers use them for good the exceptions being the majority of the Coates kids, many 'normals' fear and/or hate them which has led to many derogatory terms such as muties, freaks, moofs and chuds. Hatred of "freaks" began in Hunger due to Duck's activation of powers nearly killing Zil Sperry. Zil and his freak-hating group named the "Human Crew" gained momentum through Harry's accidental death by the hands of Hunter which lead to Hunter's near hanging at the end of Hunger. The controversial hatred reached its highest point when the Human Crew set fire to Perdido Beach midway through Lies. Gaia explains the powers further by saying, "All things are connected to me, stupid... Diana. My father's power exists because he mutated and formed a field with me. When he dies, one end of that field will fail. The power that stretches between us will fail. Eventually, though, I will cause others to mutate. It's my... my nature. It's what I am. What I may lose today, I can gain back later. Over time." She states that she is the reason behind why everyone has powers, but she is not the owner of the powers.
  • Power is the character attribute used to cast spells and perform combat arts. The Power pool is similar to the Mana pool in EQ1, except that now every character has a Power pool, not just spellcasters. The Power pool is represented by a blue bar below the name of your character in the default user interface. Each spell or combat art costs Power to use. A spell that costs 23 points to use will deduct 23 Power points from your total Power pool. If a spell or combat art requires more Power points than are currently available in the Power pool, the spell cannot be cast and the combat art cannot be executed. Obviously, an empty Power pool is to be avoided, as no spells can be cast and no combat arts can be executed. Power is regained over time. Beverages increase the regeneration rate of the Power pool, but only out of combat. Various items, spells and Troubador songs can also increase the regeneration rate, even within combat.

  • Powers are magical traits caused by the possession of a piece of The All. They are a biological part of beings that predominately resides in the blood. A power can manifest itself in several ways: in the onset of puberty, as a reflex when a being is in direct need, or just when the being is ready to receive the power. Powers are neither good nor evil, it's a matter of how they are used. However, over centuries, several powers have been associated with either one of the sides. For example; the ability to create fire is associated with evil and demons were known to commonly possess fire-based powers. Other powers, like Blinking, which is now considered to be a standard warlock power, used to be a typical witch power during the 17th century. It is very dangerous for mortals to gain possession of powers because they are not meant to have them. As described in the Book of Shadows, mortals become confused, then frightened, paranoid, violent, and demonic, and will ultimately die unless the powers are withdrawn.

  • Power is quite powerful. It is for this reason that it is so highly sought after; not, as many would have you believe, because it is a delicacy of fishy proportions. Power is usually made of something, the most common material being numbers. The numbers, of cource, do not appreciate being robbed of their power, but there is typically little that they can do, as their derived powers are often significantly larger and stronger than they themselves are. Chuck Norris, noted for his power, is rumored to have been using Illogicopedia as sustenance for it, and as he is banned, he is believed to have died as a result of power failure; this explains the recent surge of power revitalizing Illogicopedia, once again enabling it to continue along its sacred path towards world domination.

  • All six types of pwer may be present and used in the coach-athlete relationship. 1. * legitimate, 2. * expert, 3. * reward, 4. * coercive, 5. * nutrient, and 6. * referent. You get legitimate power because of your role as the coach, just like the President of the United States gets power simply because of the role. You get expert power because of your skills and knowledge. You know how to shape and develop an athlete’s swimming skills, endurance, and desire to compete and win. You get reward power because you control the rewards: anything an athlete desires, including fame and fortune. Coercive power involves forcing athletes to do something they don’t want to do, like practice too intensely for hours, skip their school work, ditch their friends for swimming, or ignore others on the team who don’t meet your expectations. Nutrient power involves releasing or withholding resources, like your experience and knowledge, from an athlete who needs them. Referent power develops when your athletes want to be just like you - they look up to you, admire you, value your every word. They’ll do anything to please their coach.

  • Power is a term used in physics to describe the amount of energy required or expended per a given unit of time. The power aboard a starship was also known as energy reserves. (VOY: "The Cloud") During the early 2250s, Constitution-class heavy cruisers were armed with a complement of directed energy weapons, that possessed enough power to destroy half a continent in a concentrated bombardment. (TOS: "The Cage" ) A starship can be identified on sensors by its power utilization curve, as a vessel utilizing 100% power has the ability to skew sensor readings. (TOS: "Journey to Babel" ) It was discovered that the use of power disturbed the dimensional structure of universes that co-existed with one another – the use of too much power could close the interphasic bridge between intersecting universes. (TOS: "The Tholian Web" )
  • PIIN's message says power is organized money and organized people.
  • Power can only be earned through training troops. Power can also be lost whenever troops die in battle. Whichever troops die in battle determines the amount of Power that is subtracted from your total. However, no power can be lost when sacraficing units. Even though you are technically losing troops, your power remains the same. This can produce some deceptive power rankings because players with a lot of power may not necessarily have a lot of troops - they might just have high levels.

  • Power is the rate at which work is done, or the derivative of work with respect to time. The SI unit is the watt (W, equal to J/s). The formula for power is One can easily see that this is the same as the dot product of force and velocity. In rotational systems, power is equal to the dot product of torque (τ) and angular velocity (ω, measured in radians per second), As the derivative of work, power comes in many forms. In the case of an electric circuit, power is equal to

  • That's correct, bodiless, unexplained, yet helpful italicised text! We know next to nothing about power which, in its majesty is in all things, if you can comprehend such a concept. It could even be within you! You could have power right now and be unaware of the staggering implications of that fact. Quite possibly, I can usually tell very quickly whether or not somebody has power. I have power and as a result I feel a certain kinship towards others with power. Of course you would!
  • Power (パワー Pawā) is a characteristic possessed by Z/X Card. Power serves as both the stamina and attack value of a Z/X during battle. When a Z/X attacks another Z/X, it deals damage to the opposing Z/X equals to its Power. If a Z/X received damage equal or higher to its Power in a turn, or if its Power is reduced to 0 or less, it is destroyed and sent to Charge.
  • Given the long-known history of Dreamkeepers and Nightmares, this phenomenon is meant to ensure a Dreamkeeper's survival against their ancient enemy as before the rise of technology, they would have lacked the natural capabilities to defend themselves against the malevolent dark forces that continue to hunt them. Powers generally awaken during adolescence and just as Dreamkeepers vary in form, so too do Powers. While it can be hard to distinguish between one's natural abilities and that of a Power, one common way of knowing for sure is the presence of a halo that forms above one's head.
  • In purely scientific terms, Power refers to the amount of work that can be done per unit time, be it mechanical or electrical. However, in colloquial terms, power refers to electrical energy used to run technological devices. Power is generally supplied in the field by Power plants or Advanced power plants. In military bases, sufficient power generation is a necessity. First, although productions structures often have backup generators allowing them to continue operation without external power, these backups are limited in capacity; so construction yards, war factories, barracks, and other such strutures operate far more slowly when without power. Also, many advanced structures require far greater amounts of power to operate, and will cease functioning in a blackout. Upper-tier base defense systems such as the Tesla Coil or Obelisk of Light need enormous amounts of power, and will cease to offer protection if they are not powered. Also, Radar will not work without power. Power is also needed for targeting and logistical data. As such, certain devices or processes, such as the Chronosphere, or uplinks to the Ion cannon will freeze without power. Additionally, power outages can undermine a base's integrity; and buildings will undergo damage as long as power output is not equal or surpassing the demand. As power is a vital necessity for many important military functions, commanders can significantly weaken their opponents by attacking their power plants. Plants are generally very weakly armoured, so it is advisable to build more plants than necessary to lessen the chances a surprise strike with blind and paralyze a base. The Black Hand of Nod has interestingly developed power signature scans, which identify enemy generators to allow for easier targeting of their weak points. • As Eddie, Thorne and Malcolm drive towards the back of the facility towards the power plant they pass by an old worker village consisting of overgrown cottages, a tennis court, a drained swimming pool and a small convenience store. Looking at the abandoned village, Thorne wonders aloud how many people the island could have supported. Eddie responds that there may be people still on the island, considering that the power is still running after all these years. A short while later they arrived at the power plant, a featureless concrete blockhouse who's steel vents were thoroughly rusted and flecked with yellow. Approaching the plant's doors, the three men notice a strong sulfuric odor coming from the building; after opening the door they find that most of the gauges and valves are encrusted with a yellowish substance. Eddie identifies it as sulfur, and is extremely impressed by what he sees; he explains that its a geothermal power plant the likes of which he has never seen. Eddie explains how the plant works; InGen's engineers probably tapped a heat source such as gas or steam and piped it up into the plant and used it to boil water in a closed cycle which turns the turbine which generates the electric power. The turbines are made of a gold alloy, which largely negates the corrosive side-effects of geothermal power which Eddie notes that at such facilities maintenance is usually brutal. InGen's setup is so compact and efficient, no one else has figured out how to do it. Eddie notes that while a chunk of the power grid is dead, but the plant itself is still fine. As they exit the power plant, they notice that of the two large manufacturing bays they saw earlier only one was still pristine. The other had largely collapsed and the glass at the rear of the building had shattered completely. Thorne asks if an animal could have done that, and Malcolm replied that some animals could easily do that kind of damage considering how heavy they got. Thorne wonders why InGen didn't think about animals causing that sort of damage when they were released; Malcolm responds saying that InGen only intended for them to be in the wild for a few weeks, not long enough to reach full adulthood. As they moved toward the car they heard an electrical hiss; shortly afterwards Arby's panicked voice comes over the radio telling them to get in the car. Thorne, aploptic with rage, grabs the handset and starts to yell at Arby while an uneasy Malcolm suggests they should listen to him and get in the car. They get into the car and patch into the trailer's network to see what has Arby so upset; on their monitor they see an adult Tyrannosaurs rex moving down the game trail towards them. Thorne asks Ian what to do, but Ian is frozen in fear. Suddenly the T. rex reappears in front of them, its large body blocking their view as it disappeared back into the foliage only to reappear a few moments later with a dead animal in its jaws. The T-rex cautiously sniffs the Explorer before sitting on it and covering it with his musk, marking it as his territory. After the T-rex leaves, they get another call from Arby who has spotted Levine on the security cameras; he is following the T. rex on a bicycle. Thorne gets the motorcycle off the back of the Explorer and readies one of the Lindstradt rifles and sets off after him. Eventually he comes across partially consumed carcasses and notifies Ian, who responds that he must be nearing the T-rex's nest and to be very careful. Slowly moving toward the nest, Thorne parts some fronds ahead of him aside and stares at the nest ahead of him.
