  • Dungeon Monk
rdfs:comment
  • The Dungeon Monk is one of the initially available human units with the second highest creation cost of any unit. As an artisan-type unit, he is not well suited to combat. Although he does have high HP, he has very low RES and SPD. Although not particularly proficient in any art, he's best suited to Time/Space skills with Vital skills as support if necessary. He's best suited to Time/Space-based staves, but he could use a dagger with decent vital skills to compensate for his SPD.

abstract
  • The Dungeon Monk is one of the initially available human units with the second highest creation cost of any unit. As an artisan-type unit, he is not well suited to combat. Although he does have high HP, he has very low RES and SPD. Although not particularly proficient in any art, he's best suited to Time/Space skills with Vital skills as support if necessary. He's best suited to Time/Space-based staves, but he could use a dagger with decent vital skills to compensate for his SPD. He has a low-average confinement time and movement range, so if you wish to increase his level he's best summoned to finish off already weakened enemies. His Return skill is the only way to escape a Random Dungeon before its completion should things get too tough, but it may be better to transfer this skill to someone like Marona. Although the Return skill cannot be deleted once it has been transferred. The Dungeon Monk's primary function is on Phantom Isle, where he can be used to create, visit, or delete Random Dungeons which are useful for raising your party's level, improving and obtaining Titles, unlocking rare classes, and obtaining rare items. The base level of the enemies found within these dungeons is based on the level of the Dungeon Monk creating them. The Dungeon Monk that sends you to a dungeon will also receive EXP upon completing floors, even if he doesn't participate in battle.
