It is vast and would require years in order to explore it in-depth. A list of things to see could also be misleading, given the richness and diversity of what the city has to offer. Therefore, it is advisable for each person to choose those things in which he is most interested. A possible solution may be for the visitor to limit himself to the five zones which contain the highest concentration of London’s major sights: Whitehall, Westminster, The City, Soho, Trafalgar Square, South Kensington and Knightsbridge. The City, located on the north bank of the Thames, is now the financial heart of London. This area was the original site of the Roman city, which over a period of 2000 years has become the present day London. Parts of the old city walls are still visible just south of the Barbican, and the sites of the several gates in the walls survive as place names: Aldersgate and Ludgate, for example. An open-space in the centre of The City marks the point where eight roads converge. This space is the site of the Bank of England, the Old Stock Exchange and the residence of the Mayor of London. * Die Bobbys von Scottland Yard & Metropolitan Police - scheinen zwar für Polizisten sympathische Leute zu sein, warten aber in Wahrheit nur darauf, ihre eisernen Krallen (Clamps genannt) in die Reifen unschuldiger, parkender Autos zu schlagen! Allerdings könnte der Touristenzustrom unter anderem an all den Sehenswürdigkeiten liegen, die die Weltmetropole London zu bieten hat. So kann man dort
* im British Museum allerlei mehr oder minder defekte Tempel aus Griechenland, Stadtmauern aus Babylon und haufenweise tote Mumien und römisches Altmetall anglotzen,
* vor dem Buckingham Palace und vor Whitehall die Horseguards sowie im Tower die Beefeaters in ihren schnuckligen Uniformen fotografieren,
* sich im Natural History Museum diverse bizarre tote Tiere ansehen - die lebenden findet man im London Zoo (oder in den Betten der Bed-and-Breakfast-Pension),
* in Soho eine Musical- oder Varieté-Vorstellung besuchen, wobei der Eintritt sich reziprog-proportional zur Menge der Bekleidung der Damen auf der Bühne verhält,
* in St. Pauls oder der Westminsterabby etwas für sein Seelenheil tun,
* im House of Parliament einem amüsanten Kasperletheater als Zuschauer beiwohnen,
* in Greenwich auf dem nullten Längengrad herumtrampeln,
* bei einem der Life-Aid-Konzerte des heiligen Bob für einen guten Zweck einen Hörsturz riskieren,
* im Hydepark Rosen pflücken - falls einem nicht Mr. Hyde oder einer der Bobbys in die Quere kommt und im
* Kaufhaus Harrods dem Angedenken von Lady Di an deren Gedenkstätte seine Referenz erweisen und anschließend auf 6 Stockwerken sein Jahresgehalt (+ die 1. und 2. Hypothek auf das Eigenheim auf dem Festland) für ein paar Reiseandenken ausgeben. Für die eher sportlich interessierten gibt es außerdem die Möglichkeit auf zahllosen Sportplätzen beim Versuch die Regeln des Kricket zu kapieren den Verstand zu verlieren, sich in Wimbeldon beim Tennis zu langweilen gut zu unterhalten oder in Wembley nach einem Fußballspiel eine interessante und lebhafte Debatte mit einheimischen Hooligans Fußball-Anhängern über die Frage "Tor oder kein Tor?" zu führen. Zudem gastieren mit dem Oxford- und dem Picadilly-Circus auch ständig mehrere dieser traditionsreichen Schaustellungen, die man einfach gesehen haben sollte, um zu glauben, was da geboten wird! Wie der geneigte Leser ersehen kann, ist London immer eine Reise wert... Das ist eigentlich ganz einfach:
* Entweder, man überquert den Ärmelkanal mit einem Boot oder Schiff, und fährt dann die Themse aufwärts (was bei Flut besonders gut geht),
* oder man besteigt einen Flieger nach Heathrow oder Gatwick von wo einen die U-Bahn mit etwas Glück heil und lebendig (und mit einer Fahrzeit, die länger dauert, als der Flug von jedem beliebigen Punkt der Erde) in die Stadt bringt,
* oder man fährt von Frankreich mit der Eisenbahn durch den Kanaltunnel (was die langweiligste und teuerste Methode wäre). Neigt der Urlaub sich dann dem Ende zu, kehrt man auf dem selben Wege, wie man nach London gereist ist, wieder nach Hause zurück - um einige (100 oder 1000) Pfund leichter und um Fotos, Eindrücke und Erinnerungen reicher. - Denn merke: Die Londoner lieben Gäste - aber nur, wenn diese auch nach ein bis zwei Wochen wieder gehen! Nur krank sollte man in London wirklich nicht werden, da das britischen Gesundheitswesen einen ganz eigenen Ruf besitzt, und man Einrichtungen wie Bedlam, das Royal Memorial Hospital oder Dr. Marvin Mondos Privatsanatorium nicht unbedingt gesünder verläßt, als man sie betreten hat.

- The sustained German bombing of London and other major British cities began towards the end of the Battle of Britain, after a British raid on Berlin in early September prompted Hitler to order the Luftwaffe to switch its attention from RAF Fighter Command to urban centers of industrial and political significance. The destruction of the Chimeran central tower in London caused an unstable chain reaction. A reactor meltdown destroys all connected towers in the network, and eradicating all Angels in Britain. Human forces discovered that the Chimera were unable to survive with the loss of the Angels and died within minutes. After the liberation of London, all survived human soldiers are investigated the ruins of five towers as they attempt to research and reverse-engineer on Chimeran technologies, and searching in every ruins of cities and villages for uninfected survivors.
