But when he saw it was a girl standing on his porch, he changed his tone. "Hello, my lady, how may I help you this fine morning?" "Is Irving home?" "Irving?" Albert's voice sank. "I'll go get him." He entered the houe, stopped and turned around to face Gretchen. "And if he's not there, is there anything I can do for you?" Gretchen rolled her eyes. "No thanks." Albert sighed and ran up the stairs to find his younger brother.
