  • Assault On The Bastogne Line
rdfs:comment
  • The Assault On The Bastogne Line was the final battle of The Victoria Rebellion. It began when UNSC forces assaulted the Bastogne Line, a system of trenches and underground command posts that served as the rebels' final holdout before they would be forced to leave the planet in some way. The rebels held their ground for almost twenty four hours, until one UNSC Marine Corps platoon made it past their defenses, and into the trenches. This gap was never sealed, and it grew larger and larger, until the rebels were overrun by the UNSC.

  • The Assault On The Bastogne Line was the final battle of The Victoria Rebellion. It began when UNSC forces assaulted the Bastogne Line, a system of trenches and underground command posts that served as the rebels' final holdout before they would be forced to leave the planet in some way. The attack began with a combined assault of aircraft, tanks, and infantry. Using what armaments they had, the rebels drove off the assault, killing an estimated three hundred UNSC troops. Scavenging the bodies, the rebels gathered up more ammunition and weaponry waiting for the inevitable second attack. After one day, the second combined assault began. The rebels held their ground for almost twenty four hours, until one UNSC Marine Corps platoon made it past their defenses, and into the trenches. This gap was never sealed, and it grew larger and larger, until the rebels were overrun by the UNSC. In the final seconds of the battle, as the UNSC were about to break into the command post, the staff committed suicide with their sidearms.
