| abstract | - Kroton showed an appreciation of beauty as well as the knowledge of what was right. It was this judgement that led him to fight back against oppressors - such as the Cybermen and the Sontarans. Originally having an innocence about him that could be described as child-like, he became more confident and slightly egotistical. At one point while fighting pirates, he claimed he could carry a tune, play a round of golf and even tell the odd off-color joke or two. Izzy referred to Kroton as been "like a Borg, but with way more personality". (This is based on the classic comparison of the Cybermen and the Borg from fans of both the Doctor Who and Star Trek franchises). Before been converted into a cyberman, Kroton had a wife called Shallia as well as having two children - a boy and a girl. He forgot them originally after his conversion, but would later remember them with help from Izzy giving him a mnemonic crystal. Kroton appeared in several comics as the main character or one of the main characters. He also appeared as a cameo in the comic Thinktwice - appearing as part of the Tenth Doctor's memories. He was also mentioned by Iris Wildthyme as having once been a traveling companion with her - although this claim is yet to be verified.
