  • The Sausageborb is a powerful boss seen in Pikmin: Distant Planet. It looks nearly identical to the Empress Bulblax. However, they have different abilities, and the fundamental reason for this creature's immense girth is due to intense overeating, whereas the Empress is going to give birth to hundreds of Bulborb Larvae. The Sausageborb appears by tunneling out from the ground or from a wall. It then drags itself towards Pikmin to eat them. It also can shift its massive body to crush Pikmin beneath it, and also can use the Empress Bulblax's signature rolling attack. In addition, once it takes a lot of damage it will begin to tunnel away and appear somewhere else to ambush Pikmin. It can come from any angle at this point, including an inexplicable drop from the ceiling which should be avoided at all costs (sidestep the huge shadow.) To successfully defeat this boss, Pikmin should be thrown either at the area directly around its head, or, even better, at the very end of the creature's body. That is not an easy target to reach, however.
